We had a great time. Food was wonderful. When we were there we played Trivia, which was really cool. I think they play on Fridays. Great atmosphere, nice place to just unwind, have a drink with appetizer and relaaaaxx.

We had a great time at the English Merchants Parlour. The food was great . This was our first time and the server and ambiance was awesome. So we will go again. The bartender had an awesome red suit on. We truly had a great time.

Great atmosphere. Very cool and comfortable experience. A true Parlour. Great food. The chicken pot pie is fantastic. The Staff are wonderful.

Came to the Parlour for my daughter's birthday brunch. Service, atmosphere, food and drinks were all wonderful. Can't wait to return for a date night with my husband and try out the dinner menu.

I had high hopes for the English Merchant's Parlour since I follow them on Instagram, read great reviews, and stayed overnight at the English Merchant's Inn. We visited on a slow Sunday morning for brunch, where there were only three tables of customers throughout most of our visit. I'm pretty sure our server was either new or not used to working brunch, as half of the items for my mother's meal- Berries and Mascarpone French Toast- was not brought out to the table (basically, just the French toast with the berries was delivered- not the mascarpone, bacon, or fruit). We addressed this immediately with our server, and she brought it out about 5 minutes later. We also ordered two Sunrise Mimosas, but if there was Prosecco, it was probably just a splash. Definitely not enough to justify the $14 price tag. I ordered the Monte Cristo French toast, which was good, but for the price, I expected it to be a bit more substantial- the bread was thin and so was the two thinly cut slices of ham. Overall, cute place, but needs to work on familiarizing servers/kitchen staff on what should be taken out to the table with meals. While food prices have gone up for everyone, the prices they charge are not justified for the portions served.

Delicious food in a great atmosphere with attentive but not intrusive service. Such a pleasant experience!

Yesterday we got brunch at this restaurant, and I was totally blown away by their fallen soldier table! This was absolutely the best fallen soldier table I have ever seen done in a civilian establishment! The ONLY thing that could have been added is chairs leaned against the table so nobody could sit at it, but it fresh roses, an actual candle, the glass was turned over, and a page explaining the table! Really amazed and appreciative of the effort made by this restaurant and come to find out the owner is a veteran and our server is married to a veteran! On top of that, great food and great service! Go check it out if you haven't tried it!

We went for Mother's Day Brunch. It's such a cute place with unique decor, tables & chairs. We were greeted by the hostess right away and she acknowledged our reservation & seated us. She offered me a complimentary glass of champagne and brought us all our drinks. We enjoyed the scone board, the berries & mascarpone French toast, the avocado toast & the waffle board. Everything was delicious! I would say the scone board was my favorite! You must try this place!

Good music and atmosphere. The menu was Very small print. They had a saxophone musician playing which was nice but made it difficult to have a conversation. The asparagus was delicious. Had a little difficulty cutting the "bangers" without a knife with serrated blade. These are all minor; it was an enjoyable experience.

We visited Waxahachie for Scarborough Faire but are very thankful we stayed for dinner at The English Merchant’s Parlour.Eddy and Gianna took excellent care of us the entire evening. It all started with their drink menu, which is not the usual fare but rather is a curated selection that seemed perfect for the menu. For dinner we all enjoyed renditions of chicken pot pie, beef stout pie, and braised short ribs. All were excellent. We capped off the meal with the cold brew chocolate cake which had just enough coffee to provide additional depth, but certainly not enough to trouble the non-coffee drinker. The cake was simply superb paired with the fresh strawberries and covered in a light buttercream. If we were locals, we’d be regulars. But for now, dropping by The Parlour will have to remain a very occasional treat when we’re next in the area.

Wow! Portions were good, prices were decent for 5-star food and service; which is a big deal right now in 2022…. LONG LIVE THE ENGLISH MERCHANT’S PARLOUR!!?Best burger I’ve had in a while—Better than The Pub’s!The burger was perfectly cooked and seasoned; while adding a really nice balance with guac, Caramelized red onions, bacon and Gouda. It gave a great 1-2 punch of sweet and savory! Went down nicely with a crackberry cider. My wife had the 3 cheese Tortellini with a homemade light pesto cream sauce; topped with real Parmesan and pine nuts. It did not disappoint. It went well with their sweeter Rosé.Our server Jean, was extremely professional, attentive to everything we needed, and made very good suggestions for us!The live music performed by one of the servers was a nice touch that brought a lot more value and uniqueness to the dinner experience, especially because the music choices were flawlessly executed British artist(mostly) covers in a ‘mellow coffee shop’ style that made a normal date something very special for my wife and I!This dinner was great, and we will definitely be back for their famous weekend brunches as well!
