“May I say that this is the first bakery that I have been to that I have been completely satisfied with all the Delicious sweets that this place makes. The Horasca cookies ? were awesome, the peanut butter cookies were delicious ?, the CAKE, OMG THE CAKE ?......was so moist and goooood. The Empanadas were warm from the back ,as they had just been made , and not to mention the Conchas were a major HIT. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK on my next trip to the VALLEY. Thank you ? “We love this place, but when we saw reeses peanut butter cups we had to go get them. The problem was, what is advertised and what you get is different. Lol, they forgot the most important part. Thats cause it wasnt even packed when we went.“

“I live in Minnesota and wanted a cake delivered to my Dad and I had been denied by other places -let me tell you this business went above and beyond their normal procedures for me to get this cake delivered .they kept me informed and made my papa's birthday and he enjoyed the delivery as well because they showed kindness . “They have a ton of selection, and their pan is pretty good. However, one of the workers was on a phone call. And when she took out a fresh batch, she put her phone on top of the bread. I thought that was kind of gross and not clean, but oh well.“

“I've read about 20 reviews, and many of them mention that the bakery looks dirty and run-down. People also complain that the staff isn't friendly. Personally, I'm not expecting a warm welcome, I just want to buy good quality tamales and bread. It's common for bakeries to weigh bread, so I don't see why people are complaining about it. I've always been satisfied with the consistent quality and I will definitely be going back.“

“Went today 4-19-23 with my family for lunch. I’ve gone to Rene’s Restaurant in Progresso Mexico since I was practically a toddler. And I just found out on social media about this place. my family and I go to Progresso just to eat Milanesa de res @ Renes. The milanesa de res at Renés in Weslaco TASTES THE SAME! I’m so happy I found this gem! My father and brother will be coming down to the valley from work next month and we will go visit Rene’s in Weslaco! Our customer service was stupendous and the restaurant was so clean!“
