We went during restaurant week and it was very busy. The restaurant is very nice and the food was excellent. Although the acoustics are not great because it was very very loud and very hard to hear our dinner companions. 
We enjoyed our dinner at Laurel - staff was very friendly and attentive! The menu was a set menu for Austin Restaurant Week. Great choices that were all on the regular menu. The burrata appetizer was wonderful! The Sea Bass was wild caught and prepared with a beautiful artichoke tapenade ! The tiramisu was house made and one of the best I have ever had. This was my first visit to Laurel but I will definitely be back! The restaurant was quiet and well appointed.
Good food in a nice atmosphere, with the exception of the "breakfast potatoes" which are boiled fingerling potatoes that have been mashed on the flattop for a while with fried onions. Lots of starch, little flavor.
