I've been to all the great kolache places in Texas, Slovacek, Czech Stop, Weikels, Hruska, Chappel Hill, Greens, Kolache Kitchen.Gerik's sweet kolaches are the best I've had. And this from someone who grew up with & is a diehard Kolache Kitchen advocate. Kolache Kitchen still has much better sausage kolaches although locals will disagree & say Green's is better.Associate there was great. Made some recommendations that my kids loved.I really want to go back and try the pizza.
We came here because we saw on TikTok that these are the best kolaches in Texas. I would agree that they are very good and the price is great. I honestly expected the cinnamon rolls to be $10+ each and not $6. In a world where inflation seems to be thrown around as a justification for price gouging, this place does not. This is a delicious hideaway from the commercialized one that's right off the highway. The breading out dough, however you want to put it, is delicious and so soft. The rolls are HUGE. This place is great and has become our new stop in West! And the prices are UNBEATABLE!
