In my continuing search for fabulous Texas Hill Country BBQ, I sampled the brisket from Kelly’s in Wimberley SW of Austin.A food trailer in a laundromat parking lot across from the hub of Wimberley, the local HEB, may seem strange. But Kelly’s brisket was “genuine no-knife needed, melt in your mouth” fantastic. Little picnic tables, styrofoam containers, rolls of paper towels with plastic cutlery made the dining experience much different, no doubt. But Kelly’s focus is 100% about the BBQ. I saw 1 guy standing at the rear of his open door SUV, eating his lunch. Bottom line is simple: it’s all about the food, not the setting.Open Tuesday through Saturday 11am until they run out of food. Highly recommended!

Kelly's catered my wedding and it was absolutely 5 star! I appreciated their communication and help in deciding the right amount for my number of guests. I spoke to them almost a year ago when I first started planning and when it was time to actually order, their whole sale cost lowered and they were gracious and honest enough to drop my price as well. My reception was held at a lodge and while all of my family was at the ceremony thirty minutes away, Kelly's let themselves in and set up perfectly with very little direction. The food was amazing! I especially loved the brisket and I'm not even a brisket fan so that's saying something! I definitely recommend them if you're having an event. They will not disappoint!

I discovered these guys recently when I came to Wimberley for work. I don’t think brisket gets any better than this. I saw a review farther down complaining about dry meat and not getting bbq sauce and I have to say that hasn’t been my experience at all. I come here at least once a week and the bbq is consistently some of the best I’ve had.
Stopped here for lunch during the week. Good grub! Typical pricing for bbq these days, so not cheap but good enough to pass the test. Had the potato salad (good but not outstanding) and apple pecan coleslaw (very yum) ; picked the sliced brisket and it was on point! Had a small portion of the jalapeño cheddar sausage and it was good but nothing really to brag about (did have a nice kick). Truck park is clean and shaded so that's a plus as well. Service was friendly as well. Definitely recommend this place when in Wimberley!

My first visit today at Kelly's. I've had lots of BBQ at many top Central Texas BBQ places. This one is a keeper! Ordered sliced brisket sandwich with mix of lean and moist, potato salad and coleslaw sides. Sandwich was fantastic - tender and smokey brisket on (Martins?) potato bun. Nicely made fresh BBQ sauce with right mix of sweet and pepper. Potato salad also very good - rich and creamy, almost German potato salad like but without the vinegar. The star side for me was the apple-pecan coleslaw - also creamy but with right amount of sweet and tartness from apples. Both sides are generous servings. Looking forward to next visit to try pulled pork, turkey and sausage.

Made a detour on the way home from San Antonio and was rewarded with some outstanding Texas brisket, ribs my wife couldn't get enough of and a brisket mac'n' cheese that made both of us go "wow". We got there at 10:55am on a Saturday (no line and the window was already open). It's a food truck with shaded outdoor seating. Very friendly!!! Some of the best bbq I've had in my travels.

I’m not rating the atmosphere because we ordered out, but you better bet that we’ll come eat in soon! We came to the area for our son’s graduation from TXST and contacted Kelly’s HCB to purchase BBQ for a graduation dinner held at a home that we rented. Kelly’s delivered our order to the house while we were at the graduation. They were so easy to work with long distance and everything happened just as they’d promised. More than that, the BBQ was absolutely the best we’ve ever had! (We ordered brisket, turkey, regular sausage, and jalapeño cheese sausage) Particularly the turkey! I’m going to have to find out how to get it sent to me. Thank you so much for everything Kelly’s HCB! You’re the best!
