“The Walzem location is great! The place is always well-maintained and the staff understand true customer service. I can't tell what percentage is mgmt trng/selection and the staff themselves but it blows me away that the staff make eye contact to greet customers and are such hard workers. Other fast food places, they act like zombies - dead eyes and slooow. Here, they are friendly and quick to get the orders completed. One cashier (Asundra) took customer service even further and stunned me. I come every couple of weeks so a few weeks ago when I was ready to place my order, she said it beforehand and I was stunned. It made my week. I got such a kick out of that. It had never happened before anywhere. Two of the managers, Martin and Jesus exhibit that friendly, professional attitude so I sincerely believe that they must have a keen eye for picking folks with the right attitude. I'm sure the other mgrs are the same but these are the 2 I am aware of. It explains why Burger Boy is so popular. Folks experiencing fast, friendly, great service is not all that common. Thanks!!”

“Been coming to this location for years. Seems like every week. Tacos are the best! Prices are reasonable and their member specials are legit. I have never had any issues....until yesterday.

Went through the drive thru, ordered 7 tacos. When the cashier told me my total, it seemed low, but she repeated the order and it was correct. When I was given my taco bag, I looked at the receipt and they didn't acknowledge two of the tacos I had ordered and charged me for something I did not order. Again, I ordered 7 tacos, but I was only charged for 5, only 5 were in the bag, and one of them was not what I had ordered.

I went inside to correct the issue and was told I needed to speak to the manager. I was met by Steven, the MOD. After I explained what happened ,he went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of and that I had received my correct order.

“I was almost broke so I went to Burger King drive-through lane. I ordered a fish burger sandwich, combo chicken sandwich and a regular hamburger meal. When I got home I noticed my fish burger the fish was gray color and very thin. The chicken burger had a lump of mayo and one corner so I decided to take everything back which was almost $30 when I got there they told me that I had to return it after I ordered in 15 minutes after I got my order . I explain to them that it took 20 minutes for me to get home and What is another 15 minutes to get to eat that’s when I discovered the uneditable food I took all the food plus the drinks but they refuse to refund me my $30. my last money that I had.. I will not go to Burger King ever again that is a very poor policy!”

“I want to start by saying that I have been frequenting this location for many months. I feel I have been able to form a fair judgment based on how many times I frequented and the consistency of my visits and my experience overall. Firstly, this location is large inside, and typically really clean, which is something I am critical of at fast food restaurants. The restrooms are usually always clean and stocked. The lobby inside is very welcoming, spacious, with nice, big windows. Now, when it comes to their selection of donuts, yes, they typically do not have many varieties or many of each kind on display. However, I don't typically come for the donuts. I usually get iced coffee and breakfast food items. The food is good for the price. The avocado toast, hash browns, or bagel bites is my usual go-to. Those items are all pretty tasty. The iced coffee has a taste that I like. No, it's not super great quality but price wise, it's what I would expect.
Now, on to the part that matters the most to me and what makes a business worth my time and money.
The employees here are EXCEPTIONAL. They are nothing short of caring. Sure, there are a couple who seem a bit aimless, but most of the employees there in the later morning are wonderful. If you actually facilitate a real relationship with them, they will take care of you. Yes, I have had my drink made wrong a few times out of the hundred trips I've made. But, if you simply ask an employee to fix the issue for you in a nice manner, they are usually very apologetic or at least quick to fix it without seeming upset. Again, I talk to these people and have real conversations. They know me by my name (most of them). Cassandra, the current store manager is amazing. She has wonderful customer service skills. And I've noticed a lot of improvement from the employees attitudes and demeanor since she became the store's general manager.
I love this place. The vibe, the people. I'm moving and I am going to miss it greatly. Windcrest Dunkin', thank you for your kindness during a time in my life where I had hardly any friends. This place was so comforting to me. I won't forget my experiences.”

“I have tried almost every Sushi spot in San Antonio and Shiro stands above and beyond everyplace I have been to. Every single piece of Sushi was super fresh and just melts in your mouth, it is honestly going to be hard to go anywhere else after having been to Shiro. The prices definitely reflect the quality and freshness difference compared to other places and is 110% worth it.”

Both were very flavorful the chicken had a great amount of spice and the macaronis salad was refreshing! Layia was super sweet she brought us our food and recommended the teriyaki and pineapple bbq sauce which were both very tasty. “Went to dinner before the Tobin show. New fall menu. The buttternut squash soup was delicious 😋 and served hot. Unfortunately the quinoa harvest salad with roasted beets, butternut squash, pepitas, and goat cheese was only greens…. Minus the other listed ingredients. Our waitress Brook was notified and said the cook staff that made the salad broke up with his girlfriend and sad! 😔 well we were sad and disappointed ☹️ and no compensation offered. The chicken Caesar salad was delicious. 😋 Hopefully no one else will get the same poor quality fall salad ! Beware ! 👻 trick or treat???!!!”

“I have been wanting to try this place for some time now after excellent reviews from friends. It exceeded expectations from the well-balanced and delicious cocktails to both cold and hot dishes. For cocktails I tried the Maracuya (welll-balanced, fruit forward but not too sweet) and Club Esmeralda (balanced with fresh herbaceous essence). My husband had the Saltao’ Sour (balanced Mezcal cocktail but not too Smokey with egg white for a nice finish) and Hola Oaxaca (Smokey cocktail balanced with the Orgeat). I recommend trying them all! For food we started with the Nikkei Cebiche which was the highlight of our meal. The fresh Yellow Fin tuna layered with flavors instantly had us ready for a second visit. On to the Piqueos section of the menu where we enjoyed the Yucca Frita, Conchitas a la Parmesana and Anticuchos. Each a warm dish with continued fresh flavors. For our main course we shared the Chaufa (fried rice with pork belly, sausage, egg etc) again layers of flavors and a hearty portion to share. We completed our food journey each with a glass of wine, he a Sauv Blanc from Chile and myself an Albariño. Please come enjoy this lovely gem in Southtown. It’s a unique, one of a kind restaurant in San Antonio. Thank you to the Chef and team for an amazing Sunday lunch experience. We will be back for more.”
