I’ve been eating at Taco Delite in Wylie for decades—long before the town grew up around it—and I can honestly say the food has always been phenomenal. Their tacos, burritos, and that classic salsa are just as good now as they were twenty years ago. It’s been a reliable go-to for quick, delicious Tex-Mex, and I’ve always appreciated the small-town charm and friendly service.
That said, my most recent visit left a little to be desired when it came to customer service. It was getting close to closing time and still pretty busy, but instead of staying focused, a few of the younger staff were openly complaining and even cussing about customers—right in front of the dining area. It was awkward and honestly disappointing, especially for those of us who’ve supported this place for so long. Everyone has tough shifts, but professionalism matters, too.
Still, I’m giving four stars because the food remains consistently excellent, and I know this experience doesn’t reflect the standard Taco Delite has upheld for years. I just hope management takes note and helps steer the younger crew back to the customer-first attitude that’s made this place such a staple in Wylie for so long.

I've tried going to this place a few times to see if they would pit less salt on their chicken but it's always a bit too salty.
Always fast and friendly service. The food is fantastic. Not your typical fast food, quality and freshness is next level. My favorite is the chicken fajita plate.
