The new renovation at Alf’s offers even more beautiful views of Alta. My kids get fries, and my husband loves a good CHETO (grilled cheese sandwich with tomato). I highly recommend heading to the furthest side away from the checkout registers for the best tables with windows overlooking the runs.Kid-friendliness: Lots of food options to choose from: chips, fruit, salads, yogurts, fries, chicken tenders, hamburger/cheeseburger, build-your-own sandwich bar, hot chocolate, juices, etc—I guarantee there’s even something to please the pickiest of eaters. ?

4 stars — mostly for variety of food — Food quality is OK. Employee spirit not what it used to be here, and certainly not what it was at the predecessor Alpenglow restaurant/outhouse, home of the Alta snow snake.

This place is awesome.pricy but completely understandable due to the location.the chill is good. The vibe goes well with Alta. Great place, just come outside peak hours.

Alf's is always crowded, and with good reason. Their chili and fries are the two stars of the show, but the deli and Grill food is good too. Prices are definitely higher than you'd pay down in the valley, but it's a good place to go relax in the middle of your ski day.

Food is a bit spendy, but typical of other resorts. Excellent sandwiches! I think they cater to a higher end clientele, so they don't cut corners. High-quality ingredients make for a more memorable eating experience.

[updated] It's all fine tasting but really $15 for huge [was large] serving of fries and $15 for a hamburger? Admittedly a burger is $16.50 at other resorts. I'll update fry data when I compare the size/cost of fries at other resorts. The bigger restaurant is plus, and handles the crowds of holidays better. Not so the line to get food. Why isn't there a grab and go? Like it's a surprise that there are 200 hungry people? We're there for the snow, give us the food quickly so we can get back out there.

In the last two years a cup of coffee has gone from $3 with a free refill to $5 with no refills. Do economic conditions justify this? Maybe, but I'll just skip my visits to Alf's, ski more and leave earlier.

Alf's is comfortable, clean, and has unparalleled views. Their fries are a family favorite.
Slope side dining. Bar at the front is nice. Limited menus but good chili.

Decent sized restaurant halfway on the mountain. Serves typical ski food.

Alf's ain't cheap, but is there any on-mountain restaurant in the Rockies that is? Not that I've come across. $4 for about 6-8 ounces of coffee.But...the location is great, (right between Sugarloaf and Supreme), where you can pop in, grab something quick and be on your way.Don't sleep on the tables outside underneath the main deck. There's a bathroom that's always empty and a window where you can grab drinks. Alta is simply the best.

They have some pretty good sandwiches. Not cheap, but more reasonably priced than park City.

Great food and efficiency for a ski lodge. You get price gouged for everything but that's sadly the state of ski resort meals
