I always love a visit to Zupas. The crew was especially friendly while they helped fill my order. I got my usual California Cobb Salad and Ultimate Grilled Cheese. After I paid, the staff member at the register offered to help me carry my tray to a table since I was balancing a baby carrier. That was really kind and such a big help--above and beyond!
Cafe zupas has been a huge part of my eating out life for a long time but I recently had an ordering experience that made me almost want to cut it out.
I ordered through their app for delivery because it was on of those crazy days and I was really looking forward to a good meal. When my food arrived I was shocked to see that not only did my chocolate covered strawberries not have any chocolate on them, 75% of it was no where to be found, but there was several other problems with my order. I had ordered and payed for Avocado, which normally entails a half an avocado. I received two small leftover pieces.... for two dollars... I also found out only after I had bitten into it that a blackberry in my salad had mold on it, you could easily taste the mold, and almost threw up because of it. Disheartened I messaged the company about my order hoping that someone would reach out and help me understand why this had happened to me. No response.... nothing, not even a call to see if I was okay. I understand that business are busy. But this was both a health issue as well as a long time customer having several problems. So I decided to share my experience to help other customers since the business wasn't interested. I won't be going to the American fork Main street Cafe zupas ever again and I'm strongly considering not going to any if this is their practices.

I generally like the food, but my two star rating is largely because I go at times later in the evening (like 8pm) when there is no line, and still it takes me 10+ minutes to get through the line when there are 5+ staff members behind the counter. They seem so concerned with closing on time that they hardly care to make sure I get through the line in a decent amount of time, zero sense of urgency. The location also feels dirty and outdated. When I asked for a bag today for my food, the girl behind the counter said “I’m busy putting your order in” and then finally proceeded to give me a bag. Clearly she still couldn’t put the order in right even with two straight minutes of focus time, because she overcharged me by $6, and I then had to go back and ask for a refund. Probably will stop coming if I am honest given the consistent issues

The lines were long and the staff was super busy but they were all friendly and helpful and everything went smoothly despite the busy-ness of the place. Excellent experience.

Zupas has been a staple for our family. We go there a few times a month. Lately the quality of the food has gone downhill at this location. There's also nothing worse than standing at the register waiting to pick up your order while the entire staff is on the other side of the store chatting it up. And while it isn’t the most expensive option out there, I pay enough that I would expect better than this.I think we might be done with Zupas.

The food is good but the customer service and communication for online ordering is awful.
I ordered ahead through the Zupas mobile app and arrived a bit early. The message I received said my food would be placed on the mobile order pickup shelf, so I found a seat near the shelf and waited. And waited. And waited. After what felt like too long, I got up to ask the cashier about it. I waited my turn behind the customer in front of me to speak with someone, but before I had the chance, another customer walked in and cut right in front of me. The cashier helped her first, even though I had clearly been next in line and had been waiting longer.
Maybe these seem like small things, but the overall experience left me feeling really frustrated. The instructions in the app were inaccurate and no further communication about my order was provided. If I had known to check in with the cashier, I would have done that right away. Instead, I felt misguided, ignored and unseen, which made for a very disappointing visit.

Veggie sandwich just keeps getting worse. I suppose it now has less fat context, but now the taste is just mediocre and best

Spectacular service. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and even complimented my glasses out of the blue. It was super fast, I got my food right away. Very good food also! I got the chicken enchilada chili, with chips in it, and it was amazing. It is the best soup I’ve ever had at a restaurant.

We had been traveling since 5am this morning and stopped by Zupas 30 minutes before they closed for dinner. Daniel, Amy, and Ryan were genuinely so kind, friendly, patient, and just overall put us in a good mood. Food was great, but the service was a 10!
