The service was good, and the food was really good! One of two places open in the winter and per other reviews I went here both nights I was in town. I got different burgers both nights so that's all I can speak on, but they were good!

Had a good time at 4th West for dinner & a drink after a long day of hiking and driving. Plenty of options on both menus and the food was excellent. Highly recommend the Pastrami Panini & the Carnitas Tacos. Dave did a great job behind the bar managing the dinner rush.

This a charming pub with great service. The spicy chicken sandwich was tasty and seasoned just right with quality ingredients. Morgan handled service for the entire place - she was zoned in and took care of everyone. She made it a welcoming experience. A local NA beer is my only wish-list for addition to the menu.

I don't normally write reviews, but I had to write one about the 4th West Pub. This place is a gem in the middle of the desert. A fantastic pub where both locals and folks from away are made to feel welcome and enjoy a great selection of beers, drinks, and food. The night we were there, Dave was behind the bar and a lot of fun to chat with. If you're in the neighborhood hiking slot canyons and feel thirsty, drop in to the 4th West Pub. You will not be disappointed!

We wandered in across from where we were staying to find a thriving local pub with great food. We returned on Saturday night to observe “Dave” doing an outstanding solo job with a packed bar and only his chef - she also did a great job. Politely and gently managing his multiple customers requests. We “Scotsmen” went in again on our last night and were warmly welcomed like locals. We wish Dave and his staff continued success in the eclectic town of Escalante! A “must visit” location if you are staying in Escalante!

So I was just in Tuesday, October 15th at 5:40 PM I just left at 5:52 PM because nobody even acknowledged me. Or to get a drink in front of me. Been here one time before great service. The guy owner was actually doing the serving. This time a lady was certain and didn't acknowledge me!!!

Super welcoming and simple place. We were pleasantly surprised because we found ourselves with all local people, not too used to tourists, and we were treated very well. The food is truly super despite the "American" price, but having been spoiled after a few days it's just fine. Highly recommended!!

Excellent pub food and great beer and cider list for a small town transplanted."Southern California" pub. The bartender "Dave, yes, The Dave" is knowledgeable, friendly and has good recommendations. I had the BBQ Bacon Burger with onion rings (blue cheeae, forever!) and a house salad, BC also. Dead Horse Amber Ale (good, hoppy) and a Mtn West Desolation Prickly Pear Cider to finish. The latter was dry, not sweet, very flavorful, 6.9% kick. Burger was.done right, served on a brioche bun and not oversauced. Salad cool crisp.spring greens, dressing on the side. This made the perfect end to a day of hiking on the Escalante river trails.
Had the BBQ Bourbon Burger. It was delicious.
