We discovered Mimi’s Bakery products at a gas station in Bryce Canyon City, we absolutely wanted to stop in Escalante to eat these sandwiches again! They are delicious, with good products, the portions are generous. We loved eating them during our road trip!

Doesn't actually exist. Just a couple of very small $14 wrapped sandwiches and a smattering of nice looking baked goods in a cooler at Griffin's grocery store

This is not a bakery. This is a small fridge filled with premade sandwiches. I was looking for coffee and some fresh sandwiches. This was not it lol. Good luck

Sandwiches and salads are fantastic, too! Made-from-scratch goodness that has no equal. Check it out!

CLOSED!!! This place is closed even though it in fact says open. It is not. I know, very disappointing.

What a phenomenal little organic store and breakfast spot. We had some amazing coffee and great breakfast croissant sandwiches.

We drove by last Saturday on our way to Capitol Reef and were bummed to see it was closed! Was really excited to try after seeing all the great reviews but am hoping I can come back on my next Utah trip ? Hope you're doing well, Mimi! ?

Mimi's Bakery - Escalante, Utah - we'd drive 50 miles out of the way to go back to this place. This is an overdue review, as we were there Oct 2020, but we haven't stopped thinking about it!! We had been on the road for over a week and jonesing for a healthy, but delicious feel good happy belly meal and that's exactly what we got. Our order was taken at the counter by the woman who owns the bakery.. she mentioned candying the ginger the night prior for the ginger scones that just came out of the oven.. delicious. Sandwiches were so good we got 2 more for later snacks. We've told everyone about this place and we can't wait to get back ourselves. K&B from Buffalo NY

One of the great advantages the Escalante area has over larger national parks is that one can find amazing food in the area...and Mimi's Bakery & Deli stands in the center of the universe. Whether you're planning on a short hike to Lower Calf Creek, half-day hikes to the slots, longer day hikes into the canyons, or fishing up on the mountain, you should wake up early and get a cup of free coffee or tea, and order a beautiful slice of hot quiche or fresh-from-the-oven croissants, scones, muffins, or loaf of bread. One of my lasting memories is the taste of a warm Mimi's croissant melting in a sip of Ed's hot coffee while sitting in the quiet morning splendor that is native to Escalante; there is no hustle and bustle. If you have a long hike planned, don't forget to order one of Mimi's sandwiches, perfectly wrapped for placing it at the top of one's daypack, and eating later while on the trail. Many a day I have stopped a grumbling stomach with just half a TBA - turkey, bacon, avocado - sandwich and saved the rest for the ride home. If you take a day off, then go visit her for one of her huge, healthy salads - a meal in itself! And everyone knows when on vacation, there are no rules as far as pastries and cookies are concerned. Just remember when they are made with love, the calories don't count as much - they are worth it. If you never make it to the Pyrenees, go visit Mimi's and at least get a taste of France. Vive la Mimi!

Mimi saved our day. We stayed in town with limited dining, and are lucky to have found her bakery. First she is a wonderful warm and welcoming host. We had first, a home baked Quiche. It couldn't have been better. We were traveling, so we ordered sandwiches for that nights dinner on the road. They were fresh and delicious and held up well. Mimi also gave us some of her special treats. Some cookies, and another of her pastries. We will stop in every time to visit and pick up some of her perfect food. highly recommended.

The first thing i noticed and then said was “ i haven’t had a good scone since i was in Scotland, no one any where knows house to make them.” The first bite into my cranberry cream scone, pardon my description, was my mouth dropped! It was crispy on the outside and the moistest ever on the inside. Large and very very flavorful... mini was a wonderful host to take the time to visit w my family about her café and then more shared scones for the road.... i have a renewed faith in baking, thanks to mini. Truth be told, Escalante is lacking in eaterie's. However Mimi's was definitely an unexpected treasure. They close early so I suggest you go get your fresh salads, sandwiches and pastries before your hike. Authentic and traditional European pastries that Mimi bakes herself. The outdoor eating area was interesting and eclectic and we will definitely be back to Mimi's
