“Stopped here because another review said they cut the meat and cheese right in front of you - they were right! Very fresh and tasty ingredients. Simple subs done right at a good price. We ordered the #1 and a capicola/salami/provolone with the works (make sure to get oil/vinegar/herbs) and they were delicious. The bathrooms in the gas station attached were super super clean and well-maintained. Staff was friendly and quick. Would definitely stop here again!”

“Come for the cold bevvies, stay for the side-uh-the-road atmosphere. Be aware that the beautifully aged display cans, with striking patina, aren’t accurate to what you’ll receive with your dollar. You in fact will get a new can (still 5 stars). Ample parking and one of the few establishments open on Sunday in this locale.

Vegetarian options: Sugar, water, artificial flavors, nothing with a face.

Dietary restrictions: Phenylketonurics take note, everyone else is A-ok.

“Always kind and welcoming people. Quality food and service, hometown feel with upscale food. My favorite place to eat in Fillmore. Such a value. You can tell that it is well ran.”

“Since I wrote this two years ago I now have something to say to corporate - the sound system should be independently operated.
As it stands it is too loud for conversation - I suggest you get it to go or forget Carl's altogether.

I have never been disappointed here. Except for maybe a forgotten pico de gio side order. Check your to go order before leaving the window.”

“Went by after getting gas from Love’s and was wowed by how fast the drive thru was and how everything was piping hot (truly hot) and fresh! Very friendly young man at the drive thru window. Our daughter had to run in to use the restroom and remarked how spotless the interior was as well.”

“Wonderful experience a family gathering and they made sure our large group was accomadated. December 7th forever in our memories after the lose of my Mother! I appreciated the atmosphere and the staff was wonderful!Bathrooms are clean and the teared candy with cups was beautifully decorated.I nice area for standing. A nice place for elderly or disabled those needing an area to relax as the place was accomadating.
