I had the Ruca sandwich. It was tasty, but pretty small. For the price, I expected a bit more, but was overall satisfied. I’m okay spending more money for good food so it didn’t bother me too much, but it may dissuade someone from coming. See the posted picture for what I got for about $20.
Reading some of the reviews, it seems like I lucked out with timing. I got my food in about 10 minutes.
Overall, a great place to eat if you’re willing to shell out a few extra bucks!

Atmosphere was adorable, lawn games available and a cute jewelry/gift shop, lots of shaded seating in the sun. Food was meh and small portions, overpriced for resort community. Tables were all dirty even though we went around 3:30 and place was not busy at all. They did have Lysol wipes to wipe your own table but still requested a large tip.

We stopped by for a quick snack during our trip from Jackson to SLC. I specifically picked the place based on the reviews here on Google Maps, and it totally delivered - the outside seating area was absolutely lovely and the food and coffee perfect for our (snackish) needs. Totally recommended.
I’ve been traveling cross country and I decided to go to Bear Lake. I left really early in the morning so I rolled into town about 7 AM. I found this place and they had really good reviews. So I decided to come by and try it out. I got the big bear plate, maybe it’s called the big bear platter… reasonably priced and it tasted very fresh. Their coffee was wonderful. Their staff was very friendly and the food came out hot and fresh. Definitely would check this place out. Keep in mind that their dining area is all open air. I didn’t see a bathroom as well. No big deal but definitely would go back again.

Ruca’s was absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and the wait time was very minimal. Atmosphere was so fun! My kids loved the play area. Staff was very friendly. Will be coming back!!
Loved the ableskievers. All the food was great. However, my son was concerned when he saw the portion size of the Bear Lake Big Breakfast. It must be big for the forrest gnomes. Didn't look that big for a 13 year old boy. 😂😂😂

Decent sandwiches and absolutely delicious pancake balls! Had the razzle dazzle ones and they were amazing. The sandwiches deliver great flavors and texture, not a lot of choices and the bread is okay. Not bad, but decent for a nice lunch by the lake. Will definitely be back. Loved the dog-friendly outdoor seating, but it is only outdoor seating so this might not be the best option if weather is at all inclement.
