We had the best little birthday party for my daughter here. So reasonably priced and convenient. I didn’t have to bring anything!

Vegetarian options: Several vegetarian options come to mind, though I can't recall if they were clearly labeled. The staff was amazing and I'm sure they would be helpful in pointing out options.

Dietary restrictions: I'm allergic to lavender and the staff was very vigilant in checking their tea for lavender to make sure it was safe for me to drink. I really appreciate that!

Parking: The building is a little hidden but there is plenty of parking.

Wheelchair accessibility: The building is not wheelchair accessible. If you have some mobility there are three stairs to get into the building and they have main floor seating but there is a big staircase to the second floor. So I would call to see which rooms are the most accessible.

Place shows wear. Service was friendly but slow. Tea was just o.k. I felt that fruit and cheese offerings were simply. One small piece of cheese per person. Two small pieces of fruit per person. Scones were excellent! Best part of the entire experience.

Quite a lovely place! I took my mother here as a special treat for her birthday. The food was absolutely delicious and they had clotted cream! I ordered a cider that was so delicious that I ordered another pot! The scones, sandwiches, desserts were delicious. Definitely recommend as a nice little afternoon tea spot and will be coming in the future.

There needs to be some sort of notice when they are closed for private functions.

I come here at least once a month for a tea party! I love bringing friends here to enjoy a 3 course tea. I bring a variety of friends with different food restrictions, such as gluten free, dairy free, and vegan. They’re more than happy to accommodate each time! I’ve hosted several birthday parties here. They’re able to accommodate large groups.

Their tea selection is amazing! I especially love the mulled spiced cider.

Another major selling point is the price! Grand America and taste 118 charge over $50 for similar experiences. I pay about $20 a person for a 3 (maybe 4 if I want soup) course meal.

I love coming to auntie Rae’s! I highly recommend stopping by or hosting a tea party here

My husband and I have been to a couple dozen tea houses across the country and sadly this was our worst high tea experience. The table wasn't set, no clotted or Devonshire cream offered, no place to put used tea bags, offered only one small pot of over brewed tea, and only two small desserts that tasted just like the raspberry jam and lemon curd served with the scones. The only positive note was the chicken salad which was flavorful and finely chopped. It was a super disappointing experience when high tea should be one of the loveliest ways to spend a Saturday.

I love Auntie Rae's. I wish that tea rooms like this were more common in the US. It's not the Grand, but it's not trying to be. It's a fraction of the price, and the food is just as delicious! Who wouldn't love afternoon tea service for the price you'd pay for a boring lunch?

Don't be afraid to schedule a tea party for 2. It's a wonderful place to catch up with a friend.
