I haven’t been to the cotton bottom in probably 20 years. I heard they’re no longer strictly a 21 and older bar. They’ve expanded. Their burgers are iconic. Perfect to drop in after a day on the mountain.

Was recommended this place by a local. Showed up with 2 kids and not a problem, they just have to sit in a certain area. It is definitely a dive bar with amazing food and staff. They accommodated our son who’s in a wheelchair. Definitely going to come back the next time we are in town.

The management here is horrible. I've watched them treat their employees terribly, screaming at them for no good reason. they're being sued for having unsafe conditions on their patio. Sadly, avoid this once fine establishment.

It is really loud, there was just two of us and I felt like I had to yell for them to hear me. I have celiacs, their gluten free bun was good. Online it says they have a separate fryer they cook gf fries in. But apparently that is not the case.

Stacey was our server and SUPER nice. The Garlic Burger was TO DIE FOR. French Fries were done PERFECTLY. Atmosphere was AWESOME. TOTALLY RECOMMEND this place. Very nostalgic.
When I entered the place I was shown a couple table choices, but we were standing in front of the bar seating and only one guy was sitting at the bar and eating. So I asked if I could sit at the bar. The seating hostess said “the bar’s not open for seating, which table would you like?” Okay…so the guy eating at out was either a friend or an employee, but how about you let me know and not just act like I’m an outsider and an instant problem customer. You can pretty much always much count on a decent burger and cold beer. The condiment containers and salt and pepper are on the table, which is a good thing, and they are clean - no sticky bottles or messy tips. Rare to see them clean and present like this these days. However, beyond that my experience with customer service and going out of their way to make a fantastic customer experience is absent. I go there once every 2 or 3 years because of this. You ask for water and they tell you to go get it at the water station. Even if the water station is directly behind the server. Even if it’s 2 elderly ladies who were beside me and they asked for water. The server pointed over his shoulder and told them it’s self serve. The other servers were all doing the same. They act like it’s a hassle training the customers on how to get water. How about you say ‘sure thing’ and turn around and get the elderly ladies waters. Then say, please feel free to get any refills you’d like right there or let me know if I can help. I’m sure the servers enjoy tips, but they are fostering an environment that doesn’t warrant much of a tip. They probably get them, but they probably also don’t deserve what they get. A small business has one objective that many people who run and work at small business don’t seem to understand. You’re there for one reason, to create an amazing customer experience. Clean condiment containers is only one piece of the experience.

Great lunch stop. Simple food menu. Burgers, dogs & fries plus a few others. Cold beer and other adult beverages. Fast & friendly service. Fun casual atmosphere with outdoor seating. Inside bar seating and a small pool table.

BTW, the law says you only have to consider a purchase, NOT make one. Is this how you stay in business and generate goodwill???
