I was driving through from AZ to MT with my brother and needed to stop for dinner. The Iron Horse Restaurant looked intriguing from the photos. We were excited to start our meal with a homemade root beer that was truly authentic. The wood smoke smelled amazing, so we ordered a brisket sandwich. We were unfortunately very disappointed as the brisket was too fatty and bland; only ended up eating 1/2 of it. Also ordered fully loaded brisket chips. It looked amazing, but the chips were too dark (burnt) for our liking. The atmosphere and staff were polite. The side salad we ordered with Ranch was very good for a side salad. It had mixed lettuce, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, croutons, parmesan, and yellow cheese. Probably would not make a point to stop here on a return trip.

I don't usually go out for this kind of food (I generally prefer Asian cuisines) but we were travelling with friends who were hungry for some meat after a long day of adventure! The food was very tasty, all done to a high quality. The onion rings were very crispy, the fries were excellent, and the garlic mash was delicious. We got ribs and brisket and both were great. A lovely end to our day.

If you are hungry you shouldn't come here. I waited 20 minutes for a table, which was okay and was easy to pass since the area was designed to be very entertaining. I ordered quite quickly at the table and then nothing happened, nothing at all. I waited an hour for my burger. When asked, they said it would take at least another 15 minutes. I canceled the order and left without eating anything. The restaurant was perhaps only a third full. Later we had Kanab's best burger, but not at Iron Horse but at a street food cart right in front of my motel. Time from ordering to eating: 15 minutes.
My favorite resturant that we visited in Kanab! Very picky about my pastrami....they far exceeded my expectations! Servers were friendly! Hope to visit again sometime!

Ate here with the family and had a blast. They had a really neat scavenger hunt attached to a menu for the kiddos and if you completed it the prize was free ice cream. My kiddos got the raspberry cheesecake ice cream which was absolutely phenomenal and swayed me into getting some for myself. The food was all perfect and delicious and the atmosphere was so welcoming and laid back. We will definitely be returning on several occasions.
Kid-friendliness: Great place to bring the kids. Scavenger hunt on the kids menu is such a cool bonus.
