Stopped in for a custard earlier today and got more than just dessert. The young man at the counter was kind, quick, and had a great smile—stood out to me after 40 years in dentistry. We even shared a quick laugh about him wearing a retainer. The place was spotless, the service fast, and the custard smooth as ever. Nielsen’s gets it right—quality product, quality people.

“I had to write a review because our service was unbelievable great. Blake, he never let my drink go empty. Our fries never ran out. Even with my 2 year old he was very patient and kind. It was a Monday evening,and surprisingly busy. Yet he handled it like we were his only table. My double burger was huge and very good. My wife had fish and chips, the price for what you get is amazing. My boy was distracted and only ate his fries, and a lot of them. So a big shout out to Blake“

“I happened to stop by, walked in to get a piece of pizza and see what it was like. Went in the door for the “family dining,” very small and dark and no one there. A Tuesday evening at 7 pm. The owner came out to great me and invited me to come to the other side. He took me around but warned me if I walked one way I’d have to become an employee . Pretty funny.

Around the bar counter were about 10 people, think all men, (I’m married 60s female) watching 3 different games at the same time, hockey, basketball, and football. Cheering loudly and having a great time. Appeared to be regulars. All the booths were empty, but 2 people were sitting at 1 table in front of the TV. I looked around and decided I didn’t want to eat alone, so asked to join them. After looking at the menu, everything so reasonably priced, I chose a personal pizza. It was great, almost like a wood fired one at TiAmo in Bountuful, but way cheaper. Definitely better than Pizza Hut. Really wanted a beer but was driving. Has a great conversation with man and woman at my table, turns out she was the owner and he a former employee. There were many other places to watch games, look at sport paraphernalia etc. It’s not the brand new chain owned look or feel sports bar. Feels like people you’d meet out and about, former Hill employees, etc. I think they were older men at the bar, but I didn’t really notice much. T had interesting stories to tell about working at Hill. So if you want to feel like you aren’t just another customer, but part of an extended family, then this is the place. Had no other food but the male customer said he won’t eat pizza any where else.“

“By far my favorite bar. I play pool here almost daily on the diamond tables. The bartenders are amazing but Mel is definitely my favorite. The food is awesome from Ricos tacos. Super cool dive bar and it looks like they are doing some updates to make it even better.

“Our server Isa Thomas and bartender Melissa were great, more than great, very helpful, very suggestive and just overall above average service. Both went above and beyond to be helpful to guarantee we got what we wanted, ordering of the menu cocktails. The bartender Melissa came to our table and made it happen. Can’t say enough good things about both these ladies.“

“I stopped by the Layton IHOP for breakfast and had a really satisfying experience! The food was exactly what I was hoping for: I ordered the Belgian waffle which was light and fluffy, along with the bacon, ham, and eggs with hash browns, which were cooked perfectly. Typical IHOP deliciousness, no complaints there!

What really elevated the visit was the excellent service. Our waiter was incredibly attentive, frequently checked in on us, and kept our coffees perfectly topped off without us having to ask. It made the whole meal feel relaxed and pleasant.

The restaurant itself was well-maintained; the bathrooms were clean, and the interior dining area looked good. A reliable, well-run location with great service—a solid 4-star breakfast spot!“
