50 Best American Restaurants near Bountiful

“I came here with coworkers on a trip to northern Utah. They insisted we stop at Vito’s to try “the best Philly in Utah”.
They prefaced the trip by saying we need to arrive early, before the lunch rush, and to have exact change in cash- so we came prepared.
We arrived at 11:30am and there was already a line out the door. It was hot and I was discouraged by the line but luckily it moved very quickly, so we only waited for about 5-10 mins.
I ordered a garlic aioli cheesesteak, put my cash into the mysterious money hole in the counter, while Vito himself quickly and precisely prepared my sandwich. I appreciate that he doesn’t handle the unsanitary money in between food preparation and I applaud his one-man operation. He’s an incredibly hard worker and an amazing cook!
When my colleagues and I sat down to eat, I had to admit that this was absolutely the best Philly in Utah and well worth the wait. I can’t wait to stop by Vito’s again next time I’m in the area.“

The food this time around was 10/10! The fries were cooked to perfection, golden brown and had the right crisp to them. The teriyaki fingers were superb. Even the carrots and celery were fresh. We’ll definitely be coming here again and requesting Zina when we do. 😁“

“This was my first time coming here, and I got the tri tip torta. It tasted fresh (and very flavorful!), the bread was soft, light and airy, and it was very reasonably priced. It tasted homemade in the best way!

As a home cook, I don’t often eat out because the price does not often reflect the quality of the food and experience, but I was actually very impressed with Cubby’s. I wish I could’ve gotten a cookie because they looked so soft and delicious!“

“The food wasn’t bad, but not the best we’ve had. We liked the wood fired pizzas, the caprese salad was so-so, and the service was nice but very low-energy and not very attentive. Didn’t ask if we needed refills until we were ready for our check. The atmosphere would be really nice, but the place could use a deep clean and half of the light bulbs were burned out. We went on a Friday at lunch and it wasn’t very busy, so food was fairly quick coming out.“

“We had yet another delicious meal and fantastic experience at Franklin Ave last night. The design and decor are absolutely stunning, and the staff from the door person to the host to the servers and managers were all so friendly and knowledgeable. We started off with the chips and whipped feta, hamachi crudo, snap peas, and ribs. All were delicious in their own rite. For the main course, I had the pasta special which included handmade pappardelle noodles, duck, oyster mushrooms, and a spicy red sauce. Yum! The miso cod, bolognese, and fish sandwich were also ordered and everyone in our group was over the moon with their selections. For dessert we shared the maple pecan respado - a must try dessert! Cocktails were amazing per usual.“

“The food here is great! I highly recommend the Utah burger all the good stuff + delicious pastrami, and the Zuchini fries with home made ranch is delish! Just make sure you check your order to make sure they include the ranch dip, because they occasionally forget. Also, their fries are some of the best in the fast food realm.
The service was awesome, Justin does a great job every time through the drive through window. Very nice young man and always thorough and helpful. He deserves a raise!“

“With winter on the way, you have to have a bowl of "Some Soup." I can't tell you what is in it because Chef Milo's drive to create results in new recipes every week (I think?), but what never changes is the always exceptional blends of flavors.“

“Great service, and a laid back environment that can fit a night out or a watch party. Daily food specials are pretty good and the menu has lots of options. The fried pickles, however, are the worst pickle fries I've had. Way too thin and salty, and the breading just fell off. Try something else on the menu instead.“

They have ludicrous hours (closing the grill at 6:45, the peak of dinner time???). My wife and I have also noticed multiple times where the grill workers will move at a snails pace from 6:15 until they close it at 6:45. I don't know if that's intentional, but it's frustrating to be in line for 25 minutes and then they just close the grill station. At no other time of day, no matter how busy, does it take 25 minutes at the grill.“

“This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had! The chef came up and talked to us a few times to check in which was great. It wasn’t in an intrusive way by any means it was nice. They gave us complimentary bread that was to die for to start. The menu had so many options that looked amazing that it was hard to choose. I got their garlic and herb chicken and it was the best chicken that I’ve ever had. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with boursin cheese and multiple other condiments that made it delicious. The server was great and the chef came to check on us before we left. The service was amazing, the food was amazing, the whole experience was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone and I probably will do just that! If you’re considering this place DO IT!! This place was life changing. Big thanks to the chef and crew. Also we thought portions might be small seeing the pictures but they aren’t! “On 6th floor of Huntsman is a delightful Bistro. Their special linguini Spagetti with yummy meatballs was under $10.

Parking: We have a disabled placard which made parking in visitor parking easy. We went on a Monday and there was both self & valet parking at the Huntsman. A flute & a string instrument played by 2 volunteers set ambience of the day! The whole experience was impressive.“

“Food is delicious, albeit a bit overpriced. I love the Shem personally, and the homestyle frees are typically fresh and seasoned well. As someone who has a soy intolerance, I was also happy to hear they used Canola oil for their fries, not soybean oil like so many other restaurants do. I'd probably make this place a regular visit if the prices were a bit more competitive with other burger joints. There are definitely some great options here.“

“We came here for brunch for my girlfriend’s birthday and it was also our first time coming here. The food was absolutely delicious AND we got a free dessert for her birthday. Not only was it free, it was a delicious, house-made crème brûlée! We will definitely be coming back!“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Salt Republic, and I must say, it was a delightful experience! I ordered the Caesar salad with a flat iron steak added, and it was the perfect amount. The steak was flavorful and tender, though I would recommend cooking it just a tad longer for those who prefer it well-done.

The setting was lovely and inviting, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed meal. One small suggestion would be to extend the breakfast hours until at least noon on Sundays. There's something incredibly comforting about having eggs on a Sunday morning, and it would be a fantastic addition to the already great menu.

Overall, The Salt Republic offers a wonderful dining experience, and I can't wait to return!“
