The food was really good! I went mid-afternoon and they were out of A LOT of menu items. It sounds like the best time to go is early lunch or waiting later for dinner, so that was my mistake going in between when they were working on getting more food dished out. However, what I did have was very enjoyable (a brisket sandwich and a jalapeño popper). The meat was very tender, juicy, and full of flavor. I'll definitely try this place again!
The food is pretty good. We tried the brisket and pulled pork plates with coleslaw, potato salad, and brisket beans. The meats were great, I would have liked a little more smoke flavor though. Their coleslaw is very minimalistic and not overly sweet or creamy which I enjoyed. Their potato salad is overwhelmingly mustard flavored with mostly what seems like mashed potato, kind of weird. The beans didn't really taste like much.The BBQ sauce we were given was a lighter red color...
Really great place! Great atmosphere, nice people. The cobbler and homemade ice cream were amazing! This is Texas BBQ so the cole slaw is vinegar based and the potato salad is mustard based. A little too much mustard but otherwise great! Will be going back regularly.
