This restaurant used to be pretty good. Not outstanding, but definitely good. But it is no longer even passable. The salsa is like water, and speaking of water, it was never refilled, even though it was my only drink. The cheese in the bean and cheese burrito was just a glob that had the appearance of being reheated several times. I picked my burrito apart but it literally wasn't edible. I took a few bites of the beans, but they weren't hot. The tortilla seemed old and tough. I sent it back and didn't get anything else because as a vegetarian, there aren't many choices. I told the server the food wasn't good, yet when I got up to pay the bill, I was still charged. I questioned why and he said I ate more than half which was absolutely not the case. I picked thru the burrito and dug out the gross cheese and tried to find a soft part of the tortilla. I had asked for enchilada sauce but it came with another HUGE wad of cheese on top of the sauce. I removed all that cheese and put it on another plate. My mom's chili Verde was okay, but she said it seemed different than it had in the past. She had to order a side of rice to make it better, which was sad because she has always liked it before. However, she vomited her dinner up prior to even leaving the restaurant. We went to this place because the last time we had been there, it was with my dad. He passed away less than 2 months ago, so it was a little nostalgic and bittersweet for us.

i used to love this place. In addition to going there MANY times in years past, I brought 40 people there for a dinner group a couple of years ago. I went to the restaurant to make arrangements about 2 weeks in advance so they world be properly staffed. They were excited to have our group. However, when we got there, they were completely unprepared. There was one server for our huge group. The people who ordered first got their food and were done long before the people at the end of the table ever got theirs. The server was also the cashier. You have to pay at the front rather than at the table, So the line to pay wound around from the front desk back into the party room. Couples had separate tickets, which the restaurant said was fine when we made the arrangements originally. It took an additional 45 minutes to get everyone checked out. They hadn't split ANY of the checks up, despite the previous arrangements and the fact we gave the instructions for splitting checks at the ordering time. The server/cashier was checking off dinners from one long receipt as people's turn came to pay. She was hand writing and hand figuring each total. It was a terrible experience, but our group tipped her heavily because we felt bad she had been put in this situation. It certainly wasn't her fault the owner/manager didn't properly plan despite all the pre-planning that went into the event. Our dinner group goes to a different restaurant every month, and has done so for several years. We always make arrangements well in advance so servers aren't overwhelmed and are prepared for a group. It is usually 15 people, but that time was a special event because everyone knew of, and liked the restaurant. It also has a great large group/party area indicating they encourage large parties. Most of the people from our group have never been back. I have as I always thought it was great. But this time, with just my mom and I, the food was terrible, the service was extra terrible, it's the last time I'll ever go, and I'll never recommend it again. The server, who was again the cashier, was very snippy. I'm a 20 - 25% tipper, but this time, for the first time in my entire life, I didn't tip. You tip for service, and he didn't provide ANY. What a disappointinng experience.

We accidentally came in 10 minutes before close but everyone was still so welcoming snd that was the best quesadilla I’ve ever had, I’ve been thinking about it for 2 weeks now

The owner, Loli, could work on the way she speaks to her paying customers. Makes comments and doesn't make you feel welcome. There has been several times this has happened. The food is good but she has made us not want to come back because of how the interactions have been. Pretty sad because we have been coming here for years. The other staff is nice and welcoming. Interesting how the owner can make comments that make you turn your head.

Ordered chicken chimichanga and fried ice cream. Salsa has a strange taste and so does the chimichanga, beans, and rice. Feels like everything was canned or frozen. The whipped, caramel, and chocolate flavored toppings on the fried ice cream tasted off. The crispy shell the ice cream came in was flaky. But to me all the flavors were off. Service was good and the restaurant decor is colorful.

So many better places. Chile verde tastes fine but nothing special. The chile verde burritos and chimichangas have very little chile verde inside. You have to pay more to have it smothered to get a somewhat acceptable amount. The rice was also no good. Salsa tastes like tomato soup. I really wanted to like everything but I just can’t. I used to eat here a few times a year.

Response to owner. Thanks for your reply. Most owners don’t care. You’ve been around a lot of years. Your chile verde taste good but a bit more spice would be great. My main point was that there was very little chile verde in the chimi and ratio to cheese and shell made it not enjoyable. Other orders with the chili as smother had more on their burrito tops than i had inside.
The salsa was mostly liquid, needs way more substance. My wife enjoyed the chili relleno and son liked the quesadilla. Nobody could eat the rice.
I definitely want to see you be successful.

I hadn’t been to this restaurant in over 20 year because in the past I didn’t like the food. However, a friend wanted to go there last week so I gave it another try. Upon arriving I noticed that the restaurant was very clean and that it had been repainted in bright, cheerful colors. I asked our waiter if the chili verde was very spicy and he said no. He lied. It had a good flavor but was way too hot for me and I eat it a lot at other Mexican restaurants. Fortunately the other things I tried were much better than I anticipated. I especially liked the shredded beef taco with the house salsa.

The tacos were fresh and juicy and the crispy shell, held it all together. I never seen a tacos so full of meat. Most place are stingy with their meat but not this place. I got full after 3 tacos. Never happened ever in my life. I really like this place. So satisfying and I didn't get that feeling of eating too much it went down easy. Love the staff too.

Food was rather bland and everything tasted like it was from a can and the nacho appetizer was just microwaved cheese and chips.

That said. Our server was super nice and helpful which made the experience more bearable.

How does this place have a 4.1 it was so nasty , it was really the worst Mexican I've ever had . My mother in law suggested we eat her cause she had a good taco salad so we went and it was so nasty she even said it wasn't them since the last time she came . Paid $10 for some rice and a normal cheese quesadilla like you make at home . Total for all our food was $71, I the Taco salad was just some old bagged shredded lettuce with a scoop of really weird ground beef and then they put two big slices of tomatoes. That's it so nasty. And the chips and salsa definitely were just bought from Walmart just like everything else .
