Sagato Bakery & Cafe Reviews
My favorite is the beef pies
love the fish fry, cakes, cookies, and lamingtons
Always have what I needed when I stopped by. Also from afar, I can still call and ordered, and yes, they delivered. I try to make a stop everytime Im in town if I have time. Love everything, mixed poly plates and of course yummy desserts.

Sagato Bakery & Cafe, located in Midvale just south of Salt Lake City, offers a delightful experience with its New Zealand style meat pies and Samoan dishes. The menu features a variety of hand pies, including the popular mince n cheese, steak n mushroom, potato top, and chicken pies, which are praised for being warm and flavorful. The bakery is noted for its freshness, with everything made from scratch, enhancing the taste of their meat pies and sausage rolls.
While some customers found the pies could be served a bit warmer, the overall feedback on the food is overwhelmingly positive. Desserts like lamingtons are available, though they may be a bit sweet for some. The staff is described as polite and friendly, contributing to a clean and inviting atmosphere. The bakery is also a comfortable hangout spot for the neighborhood, making it a great place for friends and family to enjoy a meal together.
Despite some minor issues, such as a mix-up with orders and a suggestion for more chicken in the butter chicken, customers appreciate the authentic flavors and quality of the dishes. With a price point of around $7 per pie, Sagato Bakery & Cafe is considered a bit expensive but well worth the experience for anyone looking to expand their palate.
