“I have visited here multiple times as it’s the best “Greek” food I’ve found around SLC. While it seems more like an Americanized Greek chain restaurant, it’s the most authentic and tasty place we’ve found thus far.

I recommend the Souvlaki plate with beef AND chicken, the salad, rice pilaf and an EXTRA side of lemon potatoes. I think they started adding Sumac or Aleppo pepper on top of the lemon potatoes recently as I don’t recall seeing it seasoned like that before. It was quite tasty nonetheless.

I don’t usually leave reviews unless something is really good or really bad, and I was a bit disappointed with the service on today’s visit as the girl taking our order came off as rude as she didn’t greet us or even bother to act polite. As a customer, I don’t expect people to kiss my feet upon arrival - but a greeting and friendly demeanor do go a long way. There was another girl (with glasses) working the counter and who also brought some of our food out who was courteous and attentive enough to make my rating a 4 instead of a 3. Please provide customer service training to the first girl, especially since they are customer facing. As one of my old managers used to say, “Perception is reality” and I can finally confirm the saying is true as the first girl made me feel unwelcome upon arrival.“

“Tonight my family went to Manoil’s. Wow. What a joy. I can’t recall what these dishes were called so beautifully on the menu—but I’ve tried my best in being simple in describing them. We ordered the risotto, orzo, lamb, octopus, olives, potatoes, and arugula salad. Every single thing was so freshly prepared, dressed, and cooked to invite delight. Thank you so much.“

“The food tastes so fresh and feels intentional. I got their bowl with rice, stewed chickpeas, seasonal veggie and falafel. Came with an herb sauce. Legitimately divine. It's rare that I walk away from a restaurant not feeling really weighed down by the food but I felt nourished and happy. The lady working there at the front was also so kind and genuine and warm, made me feel like going to my thea's/yiayia's house as a kid to get fed. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the food.“

“Tickles is a small locally owed restaurant with amazing gyros. The pita bread is so light and fluffy! The turkey avocado came with the perfect amount of ripe avocados. Their gyro meat was well seasoned and delicious. Jason took great care of us. Attentive staff, quick without losing quality. Love this place!“

“Sort of like a Qdoba for Greek food. Mostly good, great variety of veggies to customize my pitas, including steamed kale. Falafels were overcooked and burned on the outside, but better once I drowned them with Tzatziki Sauce. Nice murals and photos of Santorini Island (Thira) everywhere.“

“I've been EYEING this place for a very long time every since I was dinning from another food establishment across the street. Now that I have step foot in this establishment, I felt relief I can give a REVIEW on it. Keep in mind its a small GREEK establishment and parking can be pack but I went durimg the afternoon so there was plenty of parking. When I walk-in, feel like a Subway kinda atnosphere.....maybe its just the tile floor? It does show its age and there are things that needed a make over but in the future, if the owner(s) decided to remodel....avoid the restroom at all cost unless its an EMERGENCY to use so I knock it down a star. The whole point of this review is the FOOD obviously and the service. From the looks of things, Im please with the service and the order I receive. I end up doing a TAKE OUT and order a CHICKEN SALAD and DOUBLE CHICKEN KABOB with soda drinks(unlimited refill). Getting my food would take 5-8 minute from the time I put in my order and you would see them cooking the chicken kabob on the grill. When my order was ready, I was surprise at the amount of food portion they gave me...well worth the price. Then came to tasting the food....oh boi oh boi! I was lit by the season flavor on the chicken. I'm very very satisfy and this hidden local place should be on your radar to try. Will come again for the WHOLE CHICKEN!! I BE BACK!“

“This little gem of Greek food is a staple place to eat in this community. Proportioned well in all of their sides its not an overkill. Good good, good people, good client service. Their platter plates are fairly priced and consistent. Stay Classy, Mad Greek! Ill always swing by when I can.“

Well, Greek Kabob, did not disappoint?, my brother loved it!Now, on the note of customer service. The young man that helped us was kind; and did a really great job, after he knew we were going to purchase food from their establishment. I saw it by chance, and really wanted something that wasn't pizza, sandwiches or burgers, so I gave it a go. Half chicken with potatoes, a beef skewer and baklava. I was ravenous, and figured the extra would top me off.

What?... I'm a big eater. :P

I was not only pleasantly surprised at how hefty the container was, in terms of portions, but also pleased at how good it all was. Nothing was bland. Flavor in every bite. AND there was so much food that it's turned into two meals.

They even sent the side salad and pita bread. Love the dip.

I'm adding this to my list of places to break the cycle of truck stop food, and will absolutely be ordering from here again next time I'm in Salt Lake!“

“I’ve been coming to this Chicken Express location since I was a kid, so about 18 years, and it has genuinely remained my all-time favorite restaurant. Over the years, the owners and employees have always been incredibly kind, welcoming, and consistent, which makes the experience feel special every single time.

Their food has always been exceptional. My go-to orders are the combination plate and the gyro plate, and they are absolutely fabulous every time. The massive portions, incredible flavor, freshness, and quality are exactly why I keep coming back after all these years.

This place has been such a staple for me, and I’m so happy to see it continue under new management. We met the owner today and he was wonderful and so kind.
