Way back in the day, I used to work as a cook on ocean going vessels. We used to deliver lumber and paper to Hawaii all the time. I would always go out to eat at Sakia's or Jane's fountain.
Once I got back to the mainland, I just couldn't find the same flavor at Hawaiian restaurants that I found in Hawaii.
I saw Kokonut Island Grill on Google Maps. It was within walking distance from my hotel. So I thought I would give it a try.

Went here for an early dinner. Here's the thing; your music is too loud, and the employees speak too quietly, especially with the glass wall. The place was empty, except for us, and it felt awkward mostly because the music was so loud. Additionally, we felt like we were an inconvenience coming in and having the employees actually work; heaven forbid. The food was the only pleasant part of this experience.
