This place has a lot of potential, and the olive oil collection is exquisite. However, the food has certainly gone downhill. Our duck was served "medium rare," which in some cases, can be acceptable. This time though, it was super raw inside! (Bloody and just not appetizing at all.) That dish was just not well thought out. We asked for our duck to be further cooked, but even then it just didn't taste good. The salad was also underwhelming, as was the octopus.

Great experience! Party of 5. We all had the chef's tasting menu and we all thought the food was amazing! The cocktails were also very tasty. Although the dishes were small, as expected, I was too full to finish all the desserts that were included, and took the pastry assortment home to eat the next day. Price was very reasonable, considering all the effort that goes into making intricate dishes. The only reason I gave the service 4 stars was because 2 different people identified the same dish as having different ingredients (watermelon radish versus watermelon, and I think a few other different ingredients in that dish). Otherwise the staff was attentive and friendly.

I had a nice chef's tasting here. It was about 8 dishes. It started out with five small tasting starters, a palette cleanser, the main (I chose duck), dessert, and dessert to go. The three dishes were easy tasting fruit spoons of grape/beet, mango, and green apple salad with almonds/olives. Apologies, I don't remember all the details. There was a butternut gnocchi on pistachio basil crumble. The crumble was great, but the gnocchi was too dense and flavorless to me. The fifth app was a delicious duck confit arepa, followed by an savory chimichurri elk dish (no picture).Palette cleanser: cranberry sorbet, ginger shaving. The main, duck leg, was cooked really well. It was moist and flavorful. The accompanying pasta was too al dente for my tastes.Overall, I enjoyed the meal, with two glasses of wine, and included 20% gratuity, it came out to about a bill.I'd rate this closer to 3.5 stars. Staff was nice. I was the only one in the restaurant (it was early ~4:30PM). It was nice to try once.

Nice restaurant, with good food. We throughly enjoyed our dinner. My reason for my 4 score is based on the restaurant not having items we wanted to order. The server and food we did have were great.

All I can gather is maybe the landlord of this building raised the rent so the owner is trying to make it work. The whole visit left us kinda with a “meh”.Food is fine. Overpriced for what you get. You don’t get soft bread or anything when you’re there, which is unusual as this place emphasizes their oil and vinegar selection right when you walk in. So you'd think they’d want to have you try it. Or at least that could be your brand that sets you apart from other restaurants.Charcuterie was not wretched. Duck was cooked well but the risotto around it was not great. Desserts were underwhelming. Wine pours were … well… half of half the glass. Of course, they say Utah rules makes it that way so I guess we go with that.Service was ok. There were 2 of us and they automatically add 20% to your bill. Kinda odd for two people. I’m happy to pay it as 20% is my standard baseline but I can only assume that the good people of Ogden must stiff waiters/waitresses badly for the restaurant to *make* you tip 20% on a table for 2. I usually tip higher when I love my experience, but we did not love it at all. Which made me wonder if wait staff is even inspired to provide good experience since they know they’re likely capped at 20%? I don’t know. All in all, we weren’t appalled at the place, it was just fine.

We came for the 12 course Valentines Dinner. The flavors of the spoonfuls (courses) were unique and delicious but the portions were comically small. Me and my wife are both pretty small people and we were not even left full by the end of our night. The service was very disorganized as 3 different servers would bring us courses that belonged to a different table. We then watched other tables have the same happen to them. Pretty bad experience overall for $200 that left us unsatisfied and hungry. We had to get a slice of pizza across the street before we went home.

I had not eaten at the Hearth in a long while and remembered it as excellent—warm atmosphere and good food. We went on a recent Saturday evening and decided to order the winter tasting menu. There were not a lot of menu options to choose from. So disappointing. The “tastes” were good but were so very small that one could not appreciate the flavors, literally a taste and nothing more. I opted for the vegetarian entree and my companion ordered steak. Both were good (the steak was cooked exactly as ordered) but were small. The vegetarian entree was a very small portion. For the $155 we spent (which included a $24 tip automatically added to the bill), we did not get enough to eat. Compared to similar menu experiences I have had at other restaurants, this was disappointing. For a Saturday night, the restaurant was not busy and our experience would indicate why. No one wants to spend that much money and leave hungry.

We were disappointed with the food and the service was definitely not memorable. The meal lacked flavor and was bland. I am a very generous tipper and understand that servers are not preparing the food so I never hold it against them, but when we were brought the check and gratuity was added for our party of two, I was surprised. If given the opportunity to chose the amount, I would have tipped more, but because it was assumed and included with our total, I declined to add more. That is not gratuity, that is a fee.

I'm not one to give a low rating, however my partner and I did not have a good time here. We came here expecting a fancy, delicious meal and it was not worth it. The price for the quality of the meal you get is just not worth it. I mean the food isn't bad but it just wasn't flavorful. I would only come here for cocktails and maybe the charcuterie board. Other than that, don't waste your money.

Sometimes they are out of certain things, but it’s because they make everything from Scratch practically, and that’s what makes it so delicious- food is absolutely excellent along with everything else! One of our top picks always, and we tell everyone to check them out! If you want food that’s out of a can and always the same, go elsewhere.
