One star is not low enough. I’ve never seen someone as rude as Miles the “host” who challenged that we were on the waitlist, told us to wait outside in the snow and then when we came back for our table was so abrasive we ended up leaving after being told we probably wouldn’t get a table. This after being told three times to come back. We will not go back and will warn others not to go.

The service at this restaurant was honestly terrible from start to finish. The front desk staff was rude and dismissive, and things only got worse once we were seated. We clearly told them we are vegetarian, yet they still brought us pork dumplings. When we questioned it, instead of apologizing and fixing the mistake, they actually took the dish back, returned with it, and pressured us to taste it in front of them while insisting it wasn’t pork. Even after we told them it definitely was, they kept arguing and denying it instead of listening to us. It felt disrespectful and uncomfortable, especially since dietary preferences and restrictions should be taken seriously. On top of that, the food quality itself was poor and the overall attitude of the staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. Between the wrong order, the arguing, and the bad service, the whole experience was frustrating and disappointing.

We had 30 minutes to eat and get going again and they were awesome. Super helpful. Super friendly and the food was delicious with huge portion sizes. Worth it in every sense of the word.

Called to order pickup multiple times and no one answered. Came in and ordered takeout. Once food showed up they charged 10% more for ‘pickup’. Never heard of this before.

Drove up from Heber, paid for parking, and found the doors were locked, despite it being 42 minutes until they closed. Found it odd given the restaurant was full of patrons and this happened during peak ski season. If you’re going to close that much earlier than posted, some form of notice would be customary at the very least if guests are expected to pay for parking and drive to a less than convenient spot in town.

Highly recommend this restaurant for meat eaters and vegetarians alike.
Excellent, fresh food, good service and a treat to eat this food on a cold day! Be aware that parking can be expensive during the day.

We went in after a long day of skiing and had a couple different Ramens plus the Wagyu hot pot and the food was delicious! The star of the show, however, was the service! Our server (I wish I could remember his name) was incredibly helpful and so kind! It can be a little crowded and warm in there due to the hot pots but it’s 100% worth the wait! One of our favorite meals of our trip!

I wanted to leave some thoughtful feedback because many of my past reviews have helped businesses improve, and I hope this can do the same here.

The biggest issue I noticed is the layout, which seems to be turning away a significant number of customers. There are only about three to four sit down tables, while the majority of seating, roughly twenty or more seats, is bar seating. During the short fifteen minutes I was waiting for my takeout, I saw multiple families walk in and leave after being told there was a one and a half hour wait for a table.

One family of four tried sitting at the bar after being quoted that wait time but ultimately had to leave. The bar stools were uncomfortable for their kids, and sitting in a row made it difficult for them to even talk to each other. Another couple had ski boots on, which simply do not work with bar seating since they need to be on the ground. These were customers who clearly wanted to eat here but could not due to the setup.

Service wise, the staff was friendly, but bar guests seemed to be largely overlooked. I was sitting by the window and watched multiple people leave their seats and walk up to the host area just to ask for basic things, which should not be necessary.

Design wise, while it is interesting to see the deli slicer near the host stand, it takes up valuable space that could easily be another table. With the kitchen already in the back and the hot pot stoves being such a strong and unique concept, I am not sure a full bar setup is really needed. Keeping the TVs while replacing the bar with tables might better serve the customer base.

As for the food, the pork gyoza priced at twelve dollars for six pieces were unfortunately very underwhelming. They tasted like store bought dumplings that were lightly reheated, and the mirin based dipping sauce was extremely salty. At that price point, they were not worth it. The spicy garlic edamame was actually quite good, though there was confusion about whether the sauce was on the side or mixed in. It ended up being mixed in, but flavor wise it was solid, just a bit pricey at nine dollars.

I understand that prices may be higher in this area, but quality and portion size still matter. There is a lot of potential here, especially with the hot pot concept, but the layout and execution are currently holding it back.
