Our server CJ was amazing, but when comparing to the Goldner in Salzberg it was rushed and not super relaxing. the schnitzel was burnt...the oil it was cooked it was dirty / old tasting. I will say the drinks were phenomenal, and i have lunched here multiple times and it's too notch.
Just ok, didn't match up with online reviews. Schnitzel was bland and overcooked with the breading separating from the veal. “Potato Salad” on the side was unseasoned, plain boiled potatoes. Very underwhelming.
The food is always delicious, and all the staff was very nice! We've been coming for years :)
We enjoyed the Signature Fondue and added the bratwurst. The bread for fondue was the right texture, firm and almost dried out (in a good way), so that as you dipped break into the fondue, it kept its structure and did not disintegrate into the fondue. Bread was dry but good, and perfect for dipping. The scallops starter was a nice pairing of creamed corn and lingonberry - this creative combination was so yummy! Pumpkin gnocchi was also a winner for us. We were there celebrating the sale of our condo, and the dessert chef created a dessert specifically for us with a chocolate drizzle in the shape of a house. So clever and unexpected. A great place when you want to splurge & celebrate. Highly recommend. The ambiance transports you to Europe.
Sofia was amazing, enhancing our apres ski experience. Cannot wait to return for some fondue and schnitzel!
Best meal we had during our stay in Park City. The food and drinks were amazing, on top of the fantastic service, we could not have pick a better place to dine. I would come back to Park City just to dine at the Goldener Hirsch.
Dining at Goldener Hirsch in Park City feels like being transported straight to a cozy Swiss cottage. The atmosphere, with its fireplaces and elegant decor, is enchanting—like stepping into an exquisite fondue restaurant in Switzerland. The experience is absolutely worth it, but there’s one important thing to note: the cheese fondue doesn’t bring enough cheese. If you love fondue like we do, be prepared. We were a group of four and had to order two servings just to feel satisfied. It’s a disappointment considering it’s one of their signature dishes.
The food overall is excellent—the salmon was a standout—but the portions for the fondue are underwhelming for the price. Speaking of prices, this restaurant is very expensive. The cheese fondue is pricey, and the wine is even more so—our bottle was over $160.
That said, the ambiance and quality of the food make this a unique, memorable experience. Just be prepared for the cost and keep in mind that the fondue portions could be more generous. Still, I’d recommend it for the atmosphere alone—it’s a little piece of Switzerland in Park City.

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Goldener Hirsch. What an extremely overpriced disappointment. First, when we get there we were led to believe that the only option available was a $160 per person price fixed dinner. Our server never told us that there was an additional limited menu also available which we definitely would have been interested in, particularly our 15 year old daughter. The food was also just mediocre at best. The main dish was a choice of either elk or halibut. My wife got the halibut and I got the elk. Both of those were dry and overcooked. These and the entire dishes were clearly cooked hours before they were served. It’s like they were heated up in a microwave before serving. So once you include a couple of glasses of wine and the tip we had a $750 bill for THREE people. We walked out of the restaurant feeling like we got completely ripped off. I have never experienced that before leaving a restaurant. As I said what a disappointment for a hotel of that magnitude.

Good food. Great fondue. In this day and age, surprising to find very limited vegetarian option (only 1 soup and some salad options). They manage to modify the pasta and the result was quite delicious. Salads were good size. Service was messed up. Drinks order was not accurate. The waitress upsold the champagne to us- we asked for 3 flutes of champagne for a toast but were told a bottle only contained 4 glasses - which was not accurate. Very pleasant staff but overall I was disappointed with the service.
Vegetarian options: One vegetarian soup. No veg mains. They can modify the mains to be vegetarian but you will pay same price as meat options.

What a great evening celebrating two birthdays and old friends. Goldener Hirsch is our favorite restaurant to bring visitors and show off the culinary talent here in Park City. I can wait for our next visit! Chef Oren even delivered one of our dishes to the table and described all of the local ingredients. It was a highlight of the evening!
Lucas our server was awesome, very knowledgeable and made some great recommendations to make our dinner delicious! Smokey miner! The Elk tartar is the most layered and tasty tartar I've ever had, and the house made glazed donuts and ice cream were a phenomenal surprise!
We had and amazing time dinning at the Goldener Hirsch. Ony our waitress went above and beyond describing food menu items and cocktails as well, Definitely recommend to try the bison cowboy was top of the notch. Also you can't skip dessert the summer fruit cremeux was unbelievable, definitely coming back for the winter time!!!
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to be honest. The positives are that It's a beautiful location, and the decor is nice... modern updates with the old classic restaurant intact. The negatives are long... the food is terrible, the service average, and the prices are excessive. My friend and I just went here for brunch, and we couldn't believe the menu, the high cost of the lame buffet, and what we ended up ordering came late, and cost a fortune. I would recommend Stein Erikson buffet instead.
