The yurt has always been charming but the new ordering process is offensive: no matter what you order, you are verbally asked to tip. Why am I being asked to tip to pick up a cookie from a basket and serve my own coffee? And when I said no, the smile vanished and I felt like a jerk. And no thank you. We shouldn't be put in this position as customers.
Sometimes, the occasion is so special that you need it to not just be AMAZING food, but you also need it to be "AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE". When you are looking for something like this, I cannot recommend THE VIKING YURT highly enough. It is PERFECT!!! The new owner has gone all out to make this an experience that you will remember....and tell all of your friends and family about...for years to come!! Fabulous adventure!! Make your ascent up the mountain in a sled and enter a magical yurt filled with delicious smells and friendly folks! The signature menu starts with a mug of Glogg and on to a 6 course tantalizing Norwegian meal! What an adventure!!
