“On a drive from socal to colorado i stopped at the Valor Hotel in Parowan Utah. Right off I-15. Smokin Joes BBQ shares a parking lot with the hotel and i walked over for dinner. The place is modestly sized, super clean and nicely decorated. The two women that waited on me were very charming and nice. I ordered a brisket sandwich and beans. I had a feeling it was going to be good when one of the ladies pulled out of a hot drawer a big piece of uncut brisket and started slicing. I'm not going to try to describe everything about it, but the brisket was ridiculously good. Everything about it. Just enough smoke, tender with the perfect amount of fat, super meaty taste. I was in Austin last year and Terry Black's has got nothing on this place. Actually imo Smokin Joes is better :) Bbq sauces also excellent and certainly homemade. The bbq beans were actually the best thing even with brisket being 10 out of 10. Without a doubt homemade and not beans from a can bits of brisket mixed in. Id have just that as a meal anyday.
I'll never drive past Parawon without stopping at Smokin Joes again. You shouldn't either.
Btw the Valor Hotel is very nice as well.“
