Went there on Saturday April 26 with my parents and kids after a long day due to a funeral and burial. Had the worst waitress (colored girl) not sure of her name. She didn't introduce herself to us. We ordered our food. We all got it, except for my Dad. When he asked where the food was, all she did was look at us stupid. Then by the time most of us were done, his food came. He asked for utensils, again, she gave us a stupid look. Being the kind and generous person my husband is, he left a nice tip. I was ready to grab it off the table and leave without giving her a tip. He told me to leave it, so I did. We will NEVER eat there again. Customer service needs to improve by 1000% Personality is the key in the hospitality industry. This girl didn't have it. You need to hire people that will greet their customers upon arrival and be happy to be there. Otherwise, you're going to lose business. And, for that, you lost ours.
Good food. Great service.

We were very hopeful about this place. We purposely drove 40 minutes longer to avoid typical off the highway fast-food opting for a mom & pop place. My patty melt was well done, and the meat looked and tasted like it was cooked on grill that had not been scraped clean between cooking with a lot of crispy hamburger bits. The fries had an interesting coating/breading or... the fryer was full of bits.? Homemade apple pie had nicely cooked apples, but it had a lot of cornstarch filling. Atmosphere was country'esque diner and service good.

A delightful little slice of Americana. The waitress was very nice, the food choices were limited to the classics but with their breakfast through dinner options available all day it was nice. Over all it was the highlight of our trip.

If you are coming for cinnamon rolls, they are available after 9:30, but sell out often usually afternoonish...if you don't stay to try some other food here, you're doing yourself a disservice! I had a slice of some of the best cherry pie I've ever had and an absolutely delicious steak and mushroom omlete with some really amazing sourdough toast. Prices are great and service is very friendly. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful ambience and the food was extremely good
The Parowan Cafe makes a very good hamburger. We had the sourdough burgers. They have a good beef patty, cheese, and a slice of ham. Yes, ham on a hamburger!!! The option of a salad instead of fries is great b

I love the historic building, the cafe atmosphere, service and food. Every time I've been there the food has been hot, cooked to order and excellent. The service is always friendly and waitressing done by local residents who really care, act like it's important and serve you as if you are family. The tips are appreciated and not expected like everywhere else. It's a throwback to the way things were on the 60's and 70's. It's actually worth driving 3 hours for such a place. Hot, fresh food, homemade rolls and deserts. Nice plate presentation and kind service. Only thing I would recommend is the mashed potatoes. I know they were the instant, powdered kind and even they tasted good. Some real mashed potatoes would be a hit.
Thank you.
