“Maddox has been one of our favorite drive inns for many years. Love the Steak sandwich. we also order the chicken basket. Today the service was great the steak sandwich was wonderful, however we found the chicken breast came in much smaller (1/2) the usual size. Our friends had told us this what they experience as well. Prices have gone up like everywhere else, but chicken was a disappointment.”

“I cannot sing the praises of this place enough. So. Dang. Good. Burgers are pretty basic but really well done. Fries are great, love the season salt ones. The onion rings are some of the best I've had. Their root beer is so so good (very soft flavor). Shakes are also yummy as well.

And they have small kid sized burgers that are just a small burger! Like my kid is getting a good quality smaller version of what I ordered and not some weird "kid menu" attempt at a small burger.

Prices are all solid and so reasonable. The outdoor seating is picnic tables under a covered area and they're fairly standard. You can also be served in your car. The staff are all really nice.

Basically if you need a solid burger and fries. Come here. It hits the spot perfectly.

Kid-friendliness: Menu has options that are perfect kid sized. (My 2 yr old is perfectly satisfied by their Lil Cheeseburger) They also have a mini picnic table in their outdoor seating.”

“My son and some friends decided to mountain bike from North Fork to Mantua. They took a lot longer than they expected and didn't bring enough food or water for the trip that turned out to be longer than they expected. We picked them up in Mantua and took them all down to the Dairy Queen for burgers and shakes. They devoured their food and all felt much better. I grabbed a burger as well and it was absolutely delicious even without having expenses all of my energy. We will be back.”

“Visiting my son in Utah from Southern California near the Mexicali, Mexico border. I was told that this bakery/restaurant had authentic Mexican food (which my sons misses). I had to go and try for myself…. And yes! talk about bringing Mexico’s authentic flavors to Brigham City, UT My son has found his favorite Mex restaurant and as for me, I’ll be back. Employees was super nice and make everyone feel welcome. Loved it!!”

With all of that said… it was worth it, 5 stars.

“February 18, 2019. One hour before closing. We were served our RB. sandwiches and soup. very tasty.. order was correct. The store was busy ,so we chose to sit in the area left of the front door. Most of the tables were dirty and not wiped down. We finished half of our sandwiches when the staff decided to clean the area. Not only did they clean the tables, but they also put all the chairs up on the tables?? Even the tables next to us.. I am still angry this was rude! I don't care if it is five minutes to closing, your last customer of the day is just as important as the first. They stacked the chairs in the section near the restroom also.. When we left they still had customers eating in . Rude. So if a dinning section is closed. Why don't you rope it off so people don't sit there? Staff meeting time.. You lost a customer.. Check your security cameras, you will see! I called to talk to manager. They were too busy to come to phone... Still angry and frustrated. 03/11/2019”

“I have to admit the first time I got a burrito and it wasn’t my favorite, felt like a inside out sushi roll. For me it was a texture thing. I have been back multiple times since then and have loved everything else I have gotten. Their egg rolls are amazing. My son prefers their spring rolls, it’s nice they have something for everyone in my family. The sushi is quick to order and go. Best Asian food option in Brigham city.”

“My husband and I stopped at Bert's Family Cafe and Grill on 9/15/2024 for breakfast. Service was warm and inviting and fast! I had the sausage & biscuits, hash browns, & poached eggs. “Stumbled upon this quaint bar on our way back to civilization. It is a bar, but they have great food and good service. It took a while to get our server to order food and then to receive food because of the business of the bar and her being all alone, but when we did, it was delicious and wonderful. The burgers were juicy and flavorful, paired with simple Lay's potato chips, but they fit the bill and were great. A local band filed in soon after and played a set of songs and added to the feel and atmosphere of the place. It was crowded, being quite small for a band, a bar, patron tables, and a couple of pool tables. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed this nice place.”
