This place is usually always so good and this time when I took my dad for his first time.. the French Chicken which is my fave... was So Dry!! They were also out of the cheese biscuits which he wanted.. not a good first impression 😩
There aren't many cafeteria style mom and pop places left, and this one is a gem. Check the hours before you go, they are only open a few times a week for a few hours and it is packed. Your food gets served to you very quickly. Everything is made in house. The pear gorgonzola salad is one of my favorites. I also very the ribs and Carolina pulled pork quite often. The decor is airy and cozy and matches the style of cuisine very well. The menu reminds me of a backyard picnic....
What more can you say about perfection than it was perfect? I don't know that I've ever had better food in a restaurant or cafe. Large portions, quite inexpensive. It's worth the drive and any waits in line you might have.
