My partner and I stumbled on this place on our way to another bar we were just going to grab a quick drink but ended up enjoying ourselves before we knew it we had three drinks and a desert. Great place for a date or to catch up with friends comfortable yet stylish I could hear well enough to actually have a conversation. Every drink we had was delicious! Highly recommend.

Such a nice place!! It is early evening on a Thursday evening. Mac, the bartender was also our server and made excellent recommendations. The food was topnotch and so very good. This is a place to come back to regularly!

Y'all, if you have not been here, you are missing out!!! The lovely, small, personable bar experience that you can find here is hard to come by in Salt Lake City. I am a bartender, and this is where I come after work. They have all the top shelf liquor and ingredients you are looking for, but in a slow-paced environment that encourages warm conversation while having the best quality drink you could ever ask for. Mac and Justin (aka big crispy) have always shown me the utmost kindness and made my drinks with the best of care. Please do yourself a favor, and go get some love from the back door. They have so much to give.

Had a great time at Back Door last night. Felt well cared for by the bartenders, and I also liked their general approach to service. The drinks really stood out compared to other places I’ve been. These two bartenders have some kind of magic touch. Also, I really felt seen by them—-I didn’t feel like just one more customer they had to move along. Very cozy place, too, with music that hit the spot. I will return, definitely, and recommend this place to friends. You have a truly good thing going here! Please keep it up. I am very thankful to have found this spot!

First and foremost, they don't ID. The only good thing about this place was the music choices. Go to Franklin's right next door for a better atmosphere, drinks, customer service, and overall experience when you're paying the same price. The two bartenders were highly unprofessional the whole time we were there. Took about 10 minutes to get water, then another 15 for subpar overpriced drinks. There were literally two people at another table and two girls at the bar that I assume were the bartenders friends because they would not stop chatting, which is fine, until you completely forget about your two other tables. I could see if it was busy or only one bartender working that it would take a bit to bring a check over but it's pretty lame to have your customers wait for the bartenders to stop their conversation to come over. Get a clue if half the table walks out and the other half is looking directly at you guys that they want to leave, especially for how ridiculously priced and unappetizing the drinks were.

Gotta give this place a shot! Amazing service, tasty drinks, and great food. We tried the dip trio (hummus, labna, and humakamara) were all very delicious. Every drink was better than the last. And the labna mashed potatoes… probably the best part of the meal, if you didn’t have the sauce from the shakshuka.
Can’t make reservations, not speak easy style at all. And not a ton of seating. Staff were not the friendliest either. We ended up leaving and going to a bar down the street instead
