Server was not prompt, had to ask for bread, never came to refill water, and gave a to go box that was used. The food was marginal this time. I expect great quality for the prices. Asparagus was cold and stringy. They mashed potatoes was not warm. The Marsala sauce was not very tasty.
Restaurant empty and still waited 5 minutes for hostess. Food was some of the worst Italian food I've had at a restaurant.
Brio has gone downhill so far every time we've gone back the last two times it has been terrible. The only thing good there is the wine. Make sure to check your bill. The waiter will add stuff to it if you don't very poor experience. Will never go back
Food was presented well but the Pasta Brio was a little dry (like they were saving money on the sauce). The Grilled Chicken Marsala was not as tasty as I remember and the asparagus was kind of tough... Service was a bit slow but the server was very personable and attentive. Atmosphere is always gentle and wonderful.
Service was a little slow but they were pretty busy. Waitress forgot our salad, but comped it for us.
We came here with a group of eight for dinner at 6:15 and unfortunately had a very disappointing service experience. It took about 30 minutes just to receive our drinks, and once our food was ordered, one person's dish didn't arrive until nearly 20 minutes after everyone else's. To the restaurant's credit, they apologized and took that meal off our bill, which was very kind and much appreciated. The food itself was excellent—delicious, great value, and honestly the highlight of the evening. However, the service was incredibly slow and disorganized. We never received consistent water refills (only once the entire night). When we asked for the check, it still wasn't delivered after 25 minutes of waiting. With a time commitment at 8:00, I finally had to get up, find another server, and insist on paying for the whole table just so we could leave. At that point I was told they didn't even know where our server had gone—an unacceptable situation. Even as I was paying, our server returned with four separate checks far too late, making it clear our request had been ignored. What should have been a pleasant, efficient dinner turned into a frustrating ordeal. The food was outstanding, but the lack of basic attentiveness and professionalism in service overshadowed the entire experience.
Can't beat the menu, the flavors, and perfect portions. As much as I love small restaurants that cater to guests looking for incredible Chef's; Brio has available tables for the taking and Chef's that pull me back. We visit regularly.
No problems with ordering, was able to get another recommendation given my original order had something spicy. I was satisfied with the food I ate; and was really happy with the food; and had very enjoyable dinner before a Symphony show.
Food was outstanding. Service excellent. Prices were extremely fair for the quality and portions. And for a bonus we ran into an old friend there.
Waitress we just had couldn't be bothered to check our table once out of the whopping two she had; watched her stand around running her mouth with coworkers. Don't cop an attitude when you get a mildly irked paying customer who was polite to you the entire time, and had to wait for you to finally come by at the end of their meal to ask for a water refill. You're welcome for still gifting you a tip after that unprofessional display. Check your prejudices at the door when you come to work, hun.

I recently visited Brio Italian Grill and had the pleasure of being waited on by Riley. From the moment he came to the table it was clear that he wasn’t just doing his job, he was elevating the entire dining experience. Riley was incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu and helping me figure out the best thing to order. He gave thoughtful suggestions, explained things clearly, and made me feel confident I was getting exactly what I would enjoy most.
What really stood out though was his personality. Riley struck the perfect balance of being professional and personable. He was friendly, funny, and engaging without ever being overbearing. It felt like he genuinely wanted me to have the best possible experience, and that made all the difference.
Every interaction I had with him showed just how much pride he takes in what he does. He carried himself with confidence and professionalism but also had that charm and sense of humor that makes a meal memorable. It’s rare to come across someone in the service industry who checks every single box the way Riley does, but he truly did.
Because of Riley, Brio now has a customer who will absolutely be back. He gave the restaurant a great name and represented it in the best way possible. If you’re lucky enough to be seated in his section, you’re guaranteed to have an amazing experience.

Liz was absolutely amazing and easy to talk to, I felt very comfortable. I’m a ranch dressing guy with my pizza and tho this place doesn’t have ranch she put me on the creamy Parmesan dressing with my flat bread! She also made sure to keep refilling my water. She recommend the bread pudding and it was so delicious. I didn’t finish it because of how full I was, but everything was delicious. Forgot to mention this was my first time in SLC and here at this restaurant, so this was a great first impression. I will definitely be making this one of my stops if I’m ever back in SLC.
