I loved caputos because they had my favorite sandwich the fior de latte but the discontinued it because they said they now longer sell mozzarella :( so sad!! The market is still good though
Great time in a Charming neighborhood downtown SLC with authentic fresh Italian offerings. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Loved the selection of olives cheeses pastas and other delicacies. Check out their fresh sandwiches, really hit the spot you really get the feeling of a local Hometown grocery store each team member puts in a lot of passion and love for what they do. I learned so much about jesus! The young lady at the counter even help me pick out the perfect salami cheese spread combo
I was recently at this downtown location, and had a great experience. Bella in the cheese department was very helpful, went out of her way at the end of the night, and had excellent recommendations. We bought every one she suggested and they're all delicious. There's a great selection of dried and fresh pasta, chocolates and other goodies. Definitely worth a visit.

What a great surprise! This amazing market not only has a delicious Italian sandwiches menu and vast Italian products but one of the largest supply of artisan and fine cocoa and chocolate products available anywhere
I was lucky enough to talk to Luke, an experienced professional in the chocolate world, who gets to travel for Caputo learning and sourcing some of their finest products. We sampled some of his favorites from Peru made with organic sugar cane and other exquisite varieties. We exchanged tales about the growing trend of small family businesses growing organic products around the world and ancestral recipes getting discovered and supported by business like Caputo
Our time with Luke learning about chocolate, along with a delicious lunch made our visit to Salt Lake City memorable.
Thank you Luke !

Delicious food, huge portions and unique items
This place has amazing sandwiches. Their meatball sub is top notch. They even allow you to buy an amazing cheese selection in the back to be used to create a stellar grilled cheese sandwich. Huge Shoutout to Chris for the inspiration to create an epic sandwich. Overall this store has a huge selection of amazing cheese options and everything an Italian grocery store should have plus more. They offer free samples of all products they carry except for the artisanal chocolate.

Caputo’s is a Salt Lake City institution and worth visiting for the quality ingredients, generous portions, and local market atmosphere. My sandwich was packed with plenty of turkey, which was a plus, but I asked for it to be hot and it came more like toasted bread with mostly cold turkey. The spicy mustard was stronger than expected, but the overall experience was still memorable.

The cheese in the Greek salad was excellent: the quality of the feta was on par with cheese found in the Mediterranean
