The sandwiches were very good and reasonably priced. We did have quite a long wait to get our sandwiches (~30 minutes after ordering) but it was pretty busy, we may have been on the tail of a lunch rush. I had the tuna sandwich.

I had an incredible experience at Caputo’s on 314 W Broadway! The customer service was exceptional—they truly went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. The staff was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly friendly and attentive, making my visit feel personalized and welcoming. It’s rare to find this level of care and commitment to customers, and I highly recommend Caputo’s for anyone looking for top-notch service and a fantastic shopping experience!

Caputos isn't what it use to be. I should give it a 2 just to offset the ridiculous 4.7 but I think 3 is fair & most of the reviews are for what caputos was 5+ years ago vs what it is today. Lack of products, lack of selection and lack of personality. It is not really worth the drive downtown anymore, becoming Iess & less an "italian market." It Should just be a deli & sandwich shop because you are better served shopping for most of the goods online. Not sure I'll ever be back after 20+ years shopping there

This place was so great that I had to come write a review after I finished my sandwich and bought my peppers! I got the “Old School” sandwich, and my taste buds were blessed. The roasted red pepper spread was really something special! I’m sad that I’m done with my sandwich, and now I’m dreaming of more. I also got some amazing sweety drop peppers which are so difficult to find, but they had them here and I was stoked! I also had great customer service on top of my already awesome experience. I had asked an employee at the deli for her opinion since I couldn’t decide on which sandwich I wanted originally. She gave great descriptions, and she was not wrong. Both employees who helped me today were fantastic and nice about answering my questions. This place has become a must stop whenever I’m in SLC.

We recently visited Caputo's to purchase some deli items and had such a great time learning about the products. Benji was very knowledgeable about the various cheeses, meats, olive oils and vinegars and he was most gracious and accommodating, offering samples and recommendations (which were perfect!). My husband and I were very impressed and appreciative. We will definitely be back whenever we're in Salt Lake. Highly recommend!

Hot pastrami sandwich was well done, bread was toasted and the pastrami was well seasoned.

The Caputo’s sandwich was served with stone cold, hard bread. We overheard the cashier ask other customers if they wanted their bread toasted - but we were never given this option.

Poor customer service overall - the cashier taking orders didn’t acknowledge us and indicate she was ready to take our order, until I stepped up to the register and greeted her while she blankly stared at me.

The woman and gentleman making the sandwiches had such a poor attitude. They missed giving us our side we ordered, until I inquired and even then had an attitude.

For an Italian deli that’s not on the east coast this place is pretty solid. They have an AWESOME little market with tons of imported goods and lovely cheese section (they have a fish market too with tons of product but I didn’t really check it out.)

Now for the food we had: All American Turkey, The Caputo, and sides of pesto salad, caprese salad, and greek salad. The sandwiches are STACKED, so don’t over order. The bread for our sandwiches seemed old or stale and wasn’t great if I am being honest. Also, on the Caputo there was only one measly slice of prosciutto that was about half the size of the sando itself :(…other than that they were good and filling. The pesto salad was delicious, you can tell the pesto is homemade. Greek salad needed salt and caprese salad didn’t have oil/balsamic which I thought I saw listed on the menu (it also needed salt), but I could be wrong.

It was busy but the line moved quick: from standing in line to eating was maybe 10-15 mins tops.

Overall, I’d say it’s worth the mula! Go for the pastrami as I saw numerous people order it and stick with the pesto salad.

What a SUPER cool spot! There is everything you might ever want to find in a market! So many items from around the world! I could look around for at least an hour. There are some amazing options for lunch as well. TONS of seating all over. There is an amazing cheese cave, as well! Definitely hit this spot up! It will be worth it!
