Service was a little on the slow side. Food was excellent. Ambiance was nice but nothing special.

Cucina Toscana is my new favorite Italian restaurant in Salt Lake.
It was busy, but the atmosphere was still perfect for a quiet dinner. Also, the staff was very attentive to our needs without it feeling like they were hovering or forgetting about us.
Most importantly, the food was incredible. It was fresh, cooked perfectly, and full of layers of flavor.
We ordered the tenderloin medallions, the veal saltimboca, and the scallops. Also, the portions were large enough that we took some of each of our dishes home.

The best way I can describe this experience is that they want to provide a very elegant dinner experience and had all the makings of one, but missed the mark. The service from the waiter was terribly slow. He disappeared for long periods of time. Once he actually got our order placed things moved better. The food was nice but the portion size was small and very overpriced given the portion. My jaw dropped when I received the bill. I was also disappointed that none of the pastas offered non-seafood protein. Perhaps that's my naivety if this particular Italian cuisine. But if you're looking for any meat with pasta they don't offer it but do offer plenty of seafood options.

I've missed good itialian since I worked at Mr. Z's before the owner retired and closed. I'm so happy to find such a delicious and incredible experience.

We were excited by the look of this place from the outside, so we made reservations. When we arrived, the restaurant was near empty, which should have been a sign. The food was mediocre. My wife said she was sorry we used this for our pick. Positive note, the manager comp'd my wife's food when they saw she had eaten very little of it.

The quality of the food is unbelievable, the staff are very helpful and kind, and the restaurant is pretty. It is a little pricey, but worth it. The servers make excellent recommendations, and you won’t be disappointed. The serving is so professional, and they are always making sure your table is clean.
