I buy this at wegmans. It's been the best GF loaf I've had. But the one I just got is all messed up. The whole loaf is torn in half. Its insanely hard to make a sandwich out of it.

I live in the Buffalo New York area and I have recently discovered this bread at a local grocery store. I love it. I love the flavor. I love the hamburger rolls as well. My only complaint is that the bread that comes sliced is full of lots of holes it’s hard to get one piece of bread that doesn’t disintegrate when I eat it, but I’ll take it because it definitely Has amazing flavor.

Decent bread, sales team shouldn't use the term "retarded", ever.

Bread: Good and doesn't break like most GF breads.

Cons: Has canola oil. If you zoom in on the picture, you'll notice the mold on the loaf we bought.

Unnecessary: Attended an expo and asked where we could find their products, asking about a few local stores, specifically.

Unfortunately the gentleman we spoke with said no and described the store buyers as being difficult and thinking he and team Mrs. Hewitt's were "retarded" and used that term 2-3 times.

I have a family member that lives with special needs, so that was a huge turn off. The person I attended with will not buy because of the unnecessary language.

The gentleman may also not realize we could work for or have close ties to, one or both of those grocery chains asked about.
He also sounds unintelligent.

Maybe he should be educated on appropriate verbiage to use/not use.

**follow up to response.
"Glutard" was never used, those with me can confirm. Even that phrase sounds unintelligent.

Best gluten free items I’ve ever had. Bread is big loafs and don’t have crazy holes, and tastes even better than regular bread. Mixes are the best ones I’ve ever as well. I won’t ever buy another gluten free item without seeing if this company has it first. This is the best gluten free company I have ever found. Never mind the staff always being so kind and helpful! This is really the greatest place and gluten free food!

We had an excellent burger at Warren’s (local burger joint) who offered a Gluten Free option. Dang! It was excellent … both the burger AND the bun. Nicely done, Warren’s! ? So I asked the staff where they get their GF buns and breads, or if they baked them? **Mrs Hewitt’s** As others have noted, it was “real” bread (I had to confirm with server a second time it truly was their GF bun). So a solid nod and high-five to Mrs Hewitt’s! We’re from AZ so going to figure out the best way to get these baked goods (celiac household so always on the hunt). Anyway, well done!

I bought a loaf of the multigrain bread at Wegmans food store in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. As the other reviewers state, this bread is totally amazing! Both the taste and texture are just like wheat bread. I have tried 20 or more different brands of GF bread in the many years I have had Celiac disease and there is nothing like this. I hope that Wegmans continues to carry it and expand the product line offerings significantly! In the meantime I am very happy that Mrs. Hewitt’s has online ordering.

I heard about Mrs. Hewitt’s gluten free bread on a Gluten Free page on Facebook. I found it at a Wegman’s in Erie , PA over two hours away. I decided to try the White Bread, Multigrain Bread and Burger Buns. Oh… My… Heavens!!!!! This bread is THE REAL DEAL! It has the taste AND texture of regular gluten containing bread. No toasting required! I’ve made three trips to Erie in 8 weeks. (To be fair, I love Presque Isle state park beaches too, but it’s mid-October and I plan on heading to Wegman’s this weekend for a refill.)

I’d love to see this bread sold in northeast Ohio. We have Buehlers, Whole Foods and Earthfare that carry a lot of gluten free items. Please please please reach out to them! Until then I guess I’ll drive to Erie… I love this stuff!
