Overall it was a very great experience. The staff was super attentive and attended us quickly. The atmosphere is good, tables are properly spaced out and is not noisy.

I really enjoyed the mussels, it was the first time I tried them with cappers and loved the flavor combination. For mains we went for the black linguine with salmon and the paccheri al forno. The paccheri portion was huge and delicious. I loved the fact that the food was served warmed and it was very comforting. I highly recommend and will be coming back.

It was good. The cannoli's were terrible, stale and filled with whip cream, weird, $10. I won't get that again. I don't think any of the 5 ladies at the table ate any of those and they were recommended by the server. Boo! No unique non-alcoholic beverages, only soda and iced tea. I ordered the 4 cheese fettuccine and the noodles came in a watery broth with the not from scratch cheese flavor mix balls were not yet dissolved into the sauce and I ate the clumps without expecting they were there. More weird. We go the the Eccles and my friend likes Italian food so I'm sure we will eat there again. I hope it gets better. I won't order dessert again for sure.

It was nothing spectacular. There was a large piece of onion peel in the pomodoro sauce which should have been caught by the chef. Also the pesto gnocchi didn’t have much flavor. It really lacked. As for the Gorgonzola fettuccine it really lacked the Gorgonzola… Overall I would try another place.

I will say here the same I said in Yelp:

For my birthday, my daughter insisted we try Galeno’s—and oh my goodness, what a revelation! I’ve always adored Eggplant Parmigiana, and my wife, a proud descendant of the Countess of Altafin, has brought the rich traditions of Italian cuisine into our home. When we make fresh pasta from scratch—just egg and flour—it tastes remarkably like what Galeno’s serves. That’s saying something.

I’ve traveled the world, and in every city, I’ve hunted down restaurants that serve Eggplant Parmigiana. But this one… THIS ONE… is the holy grail. Stop the world—I found it!

Galeno’s is elegant without being intimidating. It welcomes you with warmth, charm, and a touch of nostalgia. The walls are adorned with photos of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr., giving it a classic vibe. Bright, modern, yet timeless with its columns and vintage flair.

And then there was our waitress—a lovely Brazilian woman with flawless English and all the grace and warmth you’d expect. She explained the menu beautifully. The dish I craved was only served at dinner, but she convinced the chef to prepare it especially for me at lunchtime. That gesture alone made the day unforgettable. We chatted, laughed, and even got a complimentary dessert so we could sing “Happy Birthday.”

If you love authentic Italian food, a clean and inviting ambiance, and service that makes you feel like royalty—Galeno’s is your place.

Service was slow. Acoustics are terrible in the dining room, very loud, can’t hear the person sitting across from you. Our bruschetta was burnt and bitter. Pesto was bitter. I enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo. Underwhelming.

Service — didn’t hear my order at all. A few minutes my friend got food I asked where mine was and… oh he didn’t hear me ask for a meal? After bringing it asked if I wanted Parmesan or red pepper flakes — I said yes, parm. And… didn’t come back with parm. Food was fine, pasta cooked well. Some type of flat cheesy bread is served with marinara at the table and while it is tasty, it is cold so rather unappealingly chewy.

The food was good but the beer pour was horrific. I would never serve this.
