Service was excellent (both wait staff and person serving food (two different roles).
The butternut squash ravioli was not good. What should have been a traditional burned butter and sage sauce contained (1) no butter and (2) no fresh sage.
I believe it was butter-flavored oil, water (!), and sugar. Maybe some powdered sage? It was so cloyingly sweet, it was inedible. Really, just tasted like sugar water.

I grew up a stone's throw from the Italian border and haven't been back in 8 years. Eating here made me emotional because this is the closest I've been to home in all that time. Their food is delicious and comforting and speaks to the passion and dedication of the staff. The cost is affordable especially in comparison to similar restaurants in the area who don't have half the quality. Galeano's location is spacious and airy, with a wall of windows, high ceilings, and the clean and clear open concept floor plan.
Trendy atmosphere, loud because of a lot of glass. Food is top notch and portions are large.
This is my new favorite find. A great vibe, personal service and the food is just delicious! We can't wait to go back :)
Fantastic all around. Don't skip the mussels appetizer, and if you like a fruite de Mar, this is also two thumbs up.
We stopped here for dinner before going to Eccles Theater. This is located about half a block from the theater so this was a great location for us. None of us had eaten here before so we were not sure what to expect.
Well, I think what ever our expectations might have been were exceeded. Service was great. The atmosphere was warming and pleasant. The food was wonderful.
There were no real issues other than each item looked so good it made me wonder if I had actually picked the best item. All of the items were wonderful. I know I've already used the word 'wonderful' but it seems to be the best word for describing what we received.
My wife's ravioli looked great. It was the smallest of the dishes we ordered and was still more than my wife could finish. My niece and I each had the chicken parmigiana. The presentation was great, the portion size was great. My sister got the lasagna. It was clearly enough for two or three meals. It looked great and I'm told it was wonderful.
Clearly we are going to need to return just to be able try the other items offered.

Amazing food experience! Great service and amazing food! Will definitely be back!
Everything was amazing. We got the gnocchi in Alfredo sauce, the porcini ravioli, and lobster ravioli. The sauces were flavorful and you could taste that they had been built up with aromatics and simmered, especially their bolognese sauce. The porcinis were delicious. The gnocchi melted in your mouth.
I ordered a Negroni and they certainly were not skimping on the liquor. It was delicious.
We ended with cannoli and the filling and shell were both divine. Served with a candied orange slice that complimented it perfectly.

Loved this family owned restaurant! Fantastic food, excellent service! Ordered the carpacchio and goat cheese salad to start, the salad was perfectly dressed and the carpacchio didn't taste too beefy which I appreciated. I had the butternut squash ravioli with brown butter and it was perfect. We also ordered the rib eye which was perfectly cooked and so flavorful with super yummy brussels sprouts. Would definitely recommend this place for some classic Italian.
Food was okay, except for strawberries they couldn’t bother to take the stems off of.
Also charging a fee to use a credit card? Really at an upscale restaurant?

This place was amazing to go to on a Saturday evening during twilight. Atmosphere definitely gets the 5 stars because it’s at the perfect cityscape type corner. Awesome view of a nicer part of the downtown. Also, it’s very spacious inside with a high glass ceiling. The service wasn’t too bad. Didn’t match the superiority of the ambient experience, it seemed as good as like Olive Garden or really anywhere else, so not bad, but also not exceptional. Also food took so long to come out. But that’s where I’ll say the food was really good though. I had chicken pesto noodles and it was incredible. Smooth and creamy, perfect balance of ingredients.

The food was very, very good. If I could I would give Galeano's 6 stars on service and atmosphere. My sister graduated from the U and we wanted to go somewhere special and she loves Italian food. Bucca is out of business so we found this place! My gosh we all loved it! We've only been there this one time, but we will definitely go back. The thing is it's like an atrium, so you're getting indoor sunlight, but they have umbrellas over the tables... Super cool! My sisters, who have been to Italy said it had a total (some Italian word) vibe, like a piatza or something. Anyway, I trust their judgment. They really liked it and so did I.
And yes, it's a little spendy, I would get the lasagna, that's the best bang for your buck if you're a hungry big eater. But with the service and the ambiance.... I mean, I felt like it was totally worth it.
