I like J. Wongs, I like the atmosphere, location, and it has nice asian decorations and beautiful table tops. They also have really cute and cool robots thay bring food on a tray. It's a fun experience to eat there. It is more of a quiet restaurant. However, literally every time I have eaten there, afterwards I immediately get food poisioning. I have tried different things on the menu, so it's probably how they're cooking the chicken. I enjoy going to J. Wongs but I'm not sure I can eat there anymore because of this. I also tried the lo mein which seemed soupy, drowning in thin sauce. The drunken noodles were good though.

This place is so cool with the robots and the food is even better! The staff is so kind and I couldn’t recommend this place enough. I ate here twice during a conference trip and I wish we had one of these back home. Definitely try the egg drop soup and the Mongolian beef!

More Thai than Chinese and fresh, flavorful food in a relaxing atmosphere with excellent service. I like how the menu gives a lot of choices to customize and there are strict and not at all spicy options. We liked the basil shrimp and the cashew and mixed veggies with shrimp. See photos.
Notes: we thought port>BS were standard and we were too full after a main and an app or soup for dessert. The prices are quite reasonable.

We had J Wongs cater a birthday party. They communicated great from the beginning of our order all the way through delivery and set up. Arrived on time, very knowledgeable about food allergies and super polite. Great job team J Wongs

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The atmosphere was calm and peaceful, making it the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal. I ordered the Lo Mein noodles, and they were absolutely delicious—honestly the best noodles I’ve had so far. They were fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
The service was outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome throughout our visit. Overall, it was an excellent dining experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great food and reasonably priced. One note is if you are coming here for the spicy food, it's American spicy. Not Chinese/Thai spicy. I'm American but regularly travel to Asia and am used to spicy stuff. I ordered the spiciest option and couldn't even tell it was spicy. The tea was great as well and served in a cool kettle.
Carpet throughout that is a little worn, and the serving robot they have struggles a bit over it (I'd recommend replacing the carpet with concrete/wood or something else hard). Nice to see that some restaurants in the US are adopting robots though. It was just one waitress serving the whole restaurant so it was very useful.
Overall, my recommendations for the restaurant: Get rid of the carpet and fix the spicy levels of the food.

Food was okay. I ordered chicken satay and it was literally two chicken tenderloins on a stick, and the sauce was a little watery. I was more little disappointed when my thai basil pork entree was very salty. My friends love their bacon shrimp spring rolls, sweet and sour chicken and chicken broccoli stir fry. Guess I just had bad luck!

Cool and quiet spot to eat out. Some of the best cooked tofu I've had in a while! Service was great and food came out fast. They also have neat robots that help bring food out! Would recommend.

I searched for a specialty menu item that not many people keep on their menus. It’s Unique and a pain to make but when done right it’s a life-changing experience.
Singapore noodles From J. Wong‘s restaurant took me back to the first time I had them and left nothing lacking.

Solid restaurant serving Thai and Chinese food. I went at 5pm on a Tuesday before a show at the Eccles and was the only person at the restaurant.
Waitress was very attentive and friendly. I ordered crispy vegetable spring rolls, chicken drunken noodles, and chicken curry puffs. Everything came out smoking hot. Super fresh. The drunken noodles is a huge portion. The entire meal was $29 with tip, which is pretty amazing. The food was good. I've had better Thai in NYC. But for SLC, this is the best I've had so far.

My husband, son and I were visiting Salt Lake City for a conference. J Wongs happened to be right across the street and we ate here our first night in town. The service was amazing; so kind and helpful. The food was delivered by a robot and tasted amazing. The restaurant was clean, quiet, and peaceful. The whole experience was so amazing we ended up going back two days later. And our waitress remembered us. I would definitely go again next time we come to salt Lake.
