We were excited to try Laurel, but unfortunately our experience with the food was incredibly disappointing. The service was absolutely incredible and we had no issues with how we were treated. Our server was DARLING and took great care of us.
The food is the core reason for the 2-star review. The first major red flag was that we received our food less than 5 minutes from the time we placed the order each time we ordered. This told us that the food was just sitting ready under warmers for who knows how long rather than be made/cooked-to-order. This proved to be true as we got our food and I continually questioned the food safety.
We first ordered the arancini as an appetizer. The center, which is supposed to be warm melted cheese, was a cold ball of mozzarella. The surrounding mixture was barely lukewarm. We ended up letting our server know about this one, and she had them bring out a new one. The second time was a bit better, but still not warm enough.
We then ordered the chicken and the salmon. Both were incredibly dry. The flavor was pretty great, but just hard to choke down because of how dry it all was. The sides (a risotto and fries) were also luke warm. Another red flag I found was that they offer no substitutions (I asked for potatoes instead of the fries). Again, it's clear that the food was all premade and plated sitting under warmers.
For dessert we got the Sticky Toffee pudding and that was delicious! But it was also just barely warm.
For the price point (we spent about $60.00/person) we expected a much higher quality experience rather than the "fast and casual" experience we had. I would rather wait a bit and have high quality food rather than barely warm food brought out 3 minutes after we ordered.
Overall service was great, but the food was concerning to say the least.

I got to book a New Year's Eve buffet brunch here and it was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, everything was perfectly curated to satisfy any brunch lover's cravings.
The variety of food options was impressive--decadent pastries, fresh fruits, and savory dishes like made-to-order omelets, crispy bacon, and a carving station with tender, flavorful lamb.
Seafood counter? delicious. The dessert table? Heavenly. Everything was fresh and beautifully presented.
The atmosphere was festive and welcoming, with just the right amount of sparkle to celebrate the occasion. The staff was attentive and friendly, always checking in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.
To top it all off, the Bloody Mary, Perfect! If you're looking for an amazing brunch experience, this is must-visit. Book ahead! I can't wait to return next year--this might just become my new tradition!

My wife and I come here for lunch almost every Wednesday. We sit at the bar and the food is always incredible, along with the service. We’ve been here at least 20 times and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommended.

We ordered a Rib Eye and was served a steak that was 1/2 fat and the other half was so tough we couldn’t eat it. Very very noisy with zero ambience. We stayed at Grand America Hotel for our anniversary and brought dressy clothes to wear expecting they would have fine dining. Everyone here is in jeans or very casual attire. We are extremely disappointed.

We stayed here at the Grand America hotel and love it, but we were a little disappointed in the Laurel Restaurant. The atmosphere and decore are nice, and the food was good, but the wait staff was not very attentive and slow to respond. Also, it would be much better if they offered the breakfast menu past 10:30am.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu
Parking: The valet parking guys were very quick and very friendly.
Wheelchair accessibility: The main entrance is very accessible for people with disabilities. The restaurant has plenty of space between tables and I was able to get through with my walker without any problems.

Service was fabulous. Loved our waitress. We came in late on a Saturday and they graciously accommodated. Pigs in a blanket were surprisingly good! Food was slightly above average, wine and cocktails were great, dessert was also lovely. Our waitress made the visit tho, wish I remembered her name.

Long wait but delicious food and great staff
Its very rare these days to find exceptional service along with good food and atmosphere. ANI took great care of us. She was elegant and passionate about her job, it was such a treat for us to have her as our waitress. She is one of those exceptionally rare people to who takes very good care of people dining there with an oomph of charisma, and element of human touch to everything she does or interacts with.
We had our first date night! so she even gave us a free dessert on the house. She definitely made it more memorable for us.
The food was amazing! the best french onion soup and bread and goat cheese.
Last but not the least, the abmience of the place was create to elegant yet vibrant, the grand america hotel is so beautiful in general, it has a charm and life of its own, never so seen so many people and families in one hotel
