Temporarily Closed since March 2021 due to covid per their Facebook page. Best rolls around though when they were open. I'm sure they will open again. It's a popular restaurant.
This is a great little place to get a bit to eat. The food is cafeteria style and they only a three of four options. The food is very good but could be seasoned a little more, it can be bland sometimes. The staff is super friendly and service moves along. If it is a busy time of the year, like Christmas or other holidays, there can be a wait but it is well worth it. The dinning room turns around quick too.
The Lion house was built in 1856 to serve as a house for the Mormon leader Brigham Young and some of his wives. It is named after the Lion on the front porch. Like all other buildings on Temple Square, it is pristinely preserved, almost as if it was built last year. There is now a rather pleasant restaurant inside serving local fare to the faithful and the visitors alike.
