The food is why you come here. The staff are polite and sling a mean taco. There is a homemade salsa bar that is really a brilliant touch. Very authentic all the way around!

We went there for Taco Tuesday since tacos were $2.5 each. When we went in though, they had a completely different menu for Taco Tuesday tacos that was not mentioned outside so that was very disappointing. Chicken, Birria, Pastor, and Carnitas were the Taco Tuesday selection. I got 2 Chicken and 2 Birria tacos, wife got also got the Mahi Mahi tacos. When our food came, the tacos were LOADED up with protein and veggies. I was surprised, and they tasted VERY delicious. It's absolutely worth the $2.5, maybe even more. The only reason they get a 4 star is for the lack of transparency of what actual Taco selection has the special and the service at the counter. Guy was pretty rude and impatient. For the tacos, I highly recommend coming.

The employee who was helping me was great! The food was alright, for $3.25 you get a little baby taco and for $10 you can get a big burrito, the burrito was really spicy but I didn't see that it came with spices. So unfortunately couldn't eat it as it was way too much spice :( but the taco was okay, the place was clean, little too pricy for the food. But overall okay.

My son had food poisoning (this was the only thing he’d eaten that day) and was on the toilet and throwing up the rest of the day with in an hour of eating lunch here. In fact we had to pay for a hotel instead of using the campsite we reserved so that he could be sick all nite. Horrible experience. Stay far away from this place. Not to mention the staff seemed annoyed that we were there. We were the only customers, which should have been a red flag.

Usually I like maize, they make their corn tortillas fresh… but they prepare their tamales in a microwave, steamed in a plastic grocery bag with ink on it, not a food-safe bag. Gross
This place is out of this world. The tortillas are so delicious. And we actually walked in a few minutes after they closed, were on our way out and they flagged us to come back in to take our order AND gave us complimentary chips. Food is impeccable. The tortillas have such a unique corn flavor that adds so much to the already delicious toppings. The carne asada is cooked perfectly with a DOLLOP of guacamole. This place deserves 5 stars and more.
I’ve been wanting to try this place for so long as I love tacos. I was so disappointed in the food unfortunately. The chicken needs to be better seasoned (has that weird chicken smell that nobody likes), Mahi mahi felt so bland. My husband liked the shrimp on its own but not as a whole taco with the toppings. Nothing special about the chips and especially queso. Salsa bar had a number of salsa options but only found two that I liked. I would like to have had veggie options at the salsa bar. Lastly, the corn tortillas may have been the worst part of the taco as they kept falling apart. Completely in half or into many pieces making it essentially inedible. Not a fan of counter service asking for tips. Won’t be back.

Restaurantji Recommends
This is right next to Eccles theatre convenient for after or before a performance. We were recommended the burrito bowls by the attendant and I got the carne asada and my wife the shrimp bowl. The protein was ok decent flavor but the bowl seemed to have instant rice and canned pinto beans pretty bland flavor and I would not order again, to be fair the tacos looked better and those may be worth a try. Overall I was disappointed, I expected a more unique flavor and better quality for the location.

Great place, amazing taste! The lobster taco had us melting in our seats. Loved the flavor of the carne asada, would recommend to add pico if you enjoy pico. The have a salsa bar so you can add the types of salsa you prefer to your meal. I also got the pastor burrito and loved it.
The staff was able to adjust our order to meet my husband's dietary needs, and came to check on us often. We loved eating here and will come again!

Ordered for pickup online. No bathrooms. It’s a cute hole in the wall and the corn tortillas are DELICIOUS. But I had a few issues with my order:
1) I ordered a carne asada taco and a chicken tinga taco, and when I opened my order up it had 2 carne asada tacos. There was also a carne asada burrito, so someone just didn’t read the receipt fully I think. The system doesn’t print the specific thing (taco, burrito, salad, etc), which could make it easier for mistakes to be made in your order.
2) online there isn’t a place to request salsa. I figured since I can’t select one they would have just added it to the bag - they don’t have a salsa bar to get your own. I ended up eating my tacos with no salsa, which was very disappointing.
Overall I would love to get food here more often; it was super delicious! I just think the ordering process could be improved, and it would be great if they had bathrooms available to those dining in!
