During a recent business trip to SLC where I was staying at the nearby Mariott, I did a take-out from this restaurant on a Tuesday evening. I reached there about 30 min before closing. While there were warning signs that the place may not exactly be what the 4.5 start ratings indicated (only one other customer which I attributed to SLC being a sleepy city, and the person at the counter was eating his dinner right there... very unprofessional), I nevertheless went ahead and ordered for take-out from the limited selections they'd at the time - a rice bowl with tikka masala sauce and paneer. Back at my hotel (6-7 min walk at most), I started eating and immediately felt like throwing up: large parts of the rice and the curry and paneer were cold (as in out-of-the-fridge cold). It seems they just threw together lots of rice with some curry and paneer in the microwave and did not even heat adequately. After attempting 2-3 bites out of the hotter parts of the dish, I gave up, and just went out of the hotel to throw the food as I couldn't bear the thought of that food in the trashcan in the room overnight. All in all the meal, from the little that I ate, was one of the most disgusting meals ever, Indian or otherwise.

Amazingly good Indian food. Great prices, nice clean, sleek establishment. Great customer service. Highly recommend - it's my new favorite!

Just had an excellent dining experience at Makam! The chicken tikka masala and garlic naan were absolutely delicious. The staff is very friendly, and the service was impressively fast. Great value for the quality of food and service. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Me and my family stopped here while looking for somewhere to eat. When we walked in we immediately walked right back out as we started gagging due to the restaurant having a strong Oder similar to that of a public park restroom with feces smeared everywhere. Our 3 year old son even commented that he thought someone pooped on the floor somewhere. We will never think about visiting this place again.

Delicious, fully customizable bowls with tasty toppings. Portion sizes were generous. Staff was very helpful and kind. We had Tiki Masala and Butter Curry with the Mango Lasi drink. Everything was delicious in a unique and delightful way.

Totally understaffed to handle the daily lunch rush. They advertise "Fresh Indian Fast" but have basically one person running the entire kitchen. Tasty food but the staffing has always felt disorganized and you're left standing for 30 minutes for a single takeout order.
