Omg!! Wow. They literally make the bread fresh for the Strombolis. 10/10. Kyle the owner was kind and informative about the menu options. He was making fresh pasta from scratch when I came by on a Saturday afternoon. very quick service for something made fresh to order. Get the teacher Stramboli and add hot peppers, it’s the only way!

So damn good. Give this place a try. Food is amazing. 2/2 on both orders and great service! Rec ordering 15 minutes ahead of time if you’re in a rush. Portion sizes are large! Will be going back

This was my first visit, but it won't be my last. Driving past I noticed the sign which said "culinary incubator" and my curiosity got the best of me. A member of the staff greeted me outside and told me they had stromboli on the menu which was good enough for me. After I placed my order which also included pasta and a chocolate chip cookie, the owner came out and introduced himself and talked about his cookies which he cooks to order. The food was amazing and the people were very friendly and pleasant. I will be back soon.

Amazing variety of Stromboli! Love love love their cheesecake, not too sweet with the ginger caramel drizzle on top! My go to is banh boli, good resemblance of flavors between banh mi and pho, highly recommend!
Marcato represents the best of the silver lining in the recent growth of Salt Lake: a charming mini-bistro housed in the Square Kitchen space, Marcato is small and new enough to be a product first oriented business with something special to share, and operated by its owners who are very happy to share their passion, make recommendations, and bring you your order themselves with a hearty smile. And their product is indeed something special; I've always said if your sandwich isn't messy you didn't make it right, and Marcato makes it RIGHT! The dough is very well done, thin enough not to overpower the fillings but enough to keep the contents contained and not turn to mush, not to mention that it's tasty in it's own right. The fillings are artistic fusion-esque mixes brimming with complementary flavor profiles and textures to please the palate. Apart from their regular rotation, there are specials so be sure to check regularly! Rightfully, the chefs prefer to include a bit of heat in nearly every dish so come ready for a punch of flavor (note that for those less inclined to spicy, there are still some options for you!). There are also vegetarian options, so no matter if you're looking for a good mushroom veggie blend, a more traditional pepperoni/salami/peppers, or even a unique take on a Banh Mi, Marcato comes to the table with something to offer.
