Unfortunately I’m torn on how to review maxwells. Their pizza is quite good but their social media needs work. They advertised yesterday on 1/21/2021 that they would indeed be open for take out but that wasn’t true. I ordered on Grubhub for pickup drove all the way downtown to find them completely closed. The social media manager may not be communicating with the restaurant but they deleted my comment asking why no one is answering the phone but didn’t delete their post...read full review

Maxwell's Little Bar is a downtown gem featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food, including gluten-free options, make it a must-visit. The pizza is phenomenal, best pizza downtown, with a light, thin, crispy crust and amazing sauce. The digs are small but the vibes match the portions… large. Keep an eye out for Luis, he is the bartender, the chef and the absolute MAN at this little bar. The smile, the food, the music and the vibes are immaculate. While parking can be tricky, the experience is worth it. Their NY style pizza is a local favorite, with impeccable service. Despite a salad mishap, the staff handled it well. For authentic, top-notch pizza, Maxwell's is the place to go.
