Mi Buena Vida offers a fantastic dining experience. The mole on the carnitas enchiladas was a standout dish, rich in flavor and perfectly complementing the tender meat. The fish tacos were equally impressive, and the margaritas were incredible!
We also enjoyed the Frida salad for a lighter option. Don't forget to check out the homemade salsa bar! The staff's professionalism is top-notch, contributing to a comfortable and enjoyable dining atmosphere.
I highly recommend Mi Buena Vida. It truly deserves 5 stars!
Located very conveniently within the sugarhouse area and the restaurant is decorated nice and is clean. The food was mediocre at best for the prices charged. Was charged a 3.44 surcharge free for using a credit card despite using a debit card. Overall a good atmosphere but food is nothing to come back for as there are more authentic tastier places for the same price. Give it a try yourself
Absolutely LOVE the chicken tortilla soup and their steak. Its a great spot to be in, especially the patio area (you can bring your dogs). You cant go wrong with the food here. Its one of my favorite new spots.
The food was not tasty. The guacamole was more like a paste without cilantro. The Michelada was awful and the margarita not the best that I have tried. The outdoor area was nice.
My fav spot in the neighborhood for lunch. Get the burrito smothered in mole but be prepared to bring almost half of it home because it's a monster. Incredible food, great music, and terrific service. Lorena took great care of me and was such a pleasure.
Food was great.
They need to do a deep clean on the bathrooms though. Bugs were about.
They sat our table of 15 with minimal notice and took great care of us. Our party was able to order in Spanish and English comfortably. The jalapeño poppers —bomb. The guacamole—fresh! The strawberry margaritas? Refreshing! The table chips have tajin dusting which we loved. The chille relleno bomb which I had down the full size for two instead of 1 pepper haha the quesadillas were good. Bean and cheese burrito great for toddlers. Enchiladas— great we tried all 3 meats. The atmosphere is calming and quiet. This was my second time going with a large party who hadn’t been before and they loved it.
This place is on a cute little street in Sugarhouse. I have been wanting to go there for awhile. The food was not great! I got an enchilada, the others got a burrito and tacos. We left most of it there. I paid $67 plus 20% tip for this place and would have rather gone somewhere else.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is super nice and the food is excellent. I recommend it.
I come here so often, I probably should feel like I come here too often. But I don’t.

My husband and I tried this restaurant for dinner and thought it was just okay. We didn’t think it was worth the price at all, although portions are generous. He got a shredded beef burrito with a mole smother and I got the Mixto with a shrimp tostada, chicken enchilada, and carnitas taco. The carnitas were completely mushy, wet, and bland meat. The worst I’ve ever had. Everything else was fine. For burrito over $20, it was very plain, even with the smother. The salsa bar has a nice variety and the cocktail was good as well. Overall, we would venture elsewhere for Mexican food in the future.
This Was Just The Most BeautifuL Experience...Thank You!!
Great food and an awesome salsa bar there isn't anything that was too spicy. I tried all of the hot salsa and sauces and they were very well balanced with sweet and spicy. The berry one is particularly good.
The spicy salmon tostadas were good, but I didn't see that it was like a 'poke'. So be warned, it's great, but it was a raw salmon on the tostada.
An OK adaptation of Mexican cuisine
Amazing food! The octopus and cheese tacos were amazing!
