The service was terrible, frankly. Food was okay, but not worth the money. Lastly, they have a large speaker blasting dance club music which inhibited conversation with my company.

Long overdue review! We were visiting SLC for the first time and checking out places to eat. My husband saw Ozora on Yelp and it was within walking distance from our hotel, so we decided to try it out. The restaurant is a bit hidden because the nearby hotel was doing some construction and their entrance is actually in the driveway to that hotel. It's a nice cozy place with an extensive bar and seating area. I liked the ambiance and their menu items were right up my alley! We decided to try the takoyaki, tonkatsu dinner and chicken skewer. I must admit, the takoyaki was really delicious, not chewy with the right amount of batter. I'm always skeptical to try this dish outside of Japan because I've had a bad experience before. Everything we ate/drank was tasty and overall, we were very happy to have stopped by. We know that when we return to SLC, we will definitely be going back!

After a frustrating evening trying to find a restaurant that was open, not too loud, and didn't have an obscene wait time we stumbled upon Ozora and could not have made a better choice! The "tapas style" Japanese dishes were delicious and both the service and the ambiance were excellent. Thank you Ozora for a great meal and a great evening!

Food was BOMB!! Service was decent, nothing too terrible though because we had a large party. Get the epic role, it was amazing! Sake was also amazing!!

Great Japanese food without waiting all night like you do at other places around the block. I had the Nanban Chicken and it was delicious! The age dashi and the sparkling sake were great too! The service is good. A little slow but that’s expected for a small family owned and run restaurant that is just starting.Great date night vibes or a quiet one on one environment. Stop here before the Jazz game or your event downtown.

This was probably the best Japanese style fried chicken I've ever eaten. Also, the braised pork belly was tender and delicious. Definitely worth checking out.

Excellent meal. Our small plates were all fantastically prepared and our server Belle was both knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely recommend!

Probably the best Japanese izakaya that I have ever been to in Salt Lake City, and maybe in the US in general. Every small plate I ordered was delicious and the service was phenomenal. If you want small Japanese tapas this is a place I would highly recommend.

Great vibe in Salt Lake's newest bar. They're signature drink is the Whiskey, Red Wine Whiskey Sour. Tasty Asian Fusion dishes.

Excellent new Japanese Izakaya in downtown SLC. We ordered most of the small plates menu and loved it. Would go back!

Ordered 7+ things, everything was delicious!!!!!High quality and tasty food, great cocktails as well. Location is hard to find at first but the inside is really nice and I feel like this place is an undiscovered gem. Try the calamari, gyoza, beef skewers, pancake and tonkatsu. Seriously so good. I did not actually take pictures because I was busy eating.

Best kushiyaki and kushikatsu that I've had in the US so far. I haven't been able to go back to Japan for a couple years now, so it's nice to have something similar to what I'd get there.

Beautiful food. Every course was a nice surprise.

I went in and sat at the bar. There were 2 tables eating but not a single staff person in the front of the house. No host. No server. No bartender. No manager. I waited about 5 minutes and then left. Seems like a good place though!
