Vegetarian options: Paxton Pub offers vegetarian and vegan dishes. They have vegan cheese and vegan sausage on hand, and their bread and pizza sauce is vegan.

New Year's Eve was so much fun here. I'm so disappointed I didn't get a picture of the amazing giant pretzel. I've never had such a delicious pretzel. The bartenders were quick and attentive even with the number of people crammed in the bar.

Went for trivia on a Thursday and had a good time. Pretty good beer selection and bartenders were friendly enough. Food was so-so. The trivia host was eccentric to say the least (not in a good way). May try going back when it's not trivia.

I was very excited to try Paxton Pub after reading all the glowing five-star reviews. I am disappointed to report that my experience was not on par with the rest of the reviewers. We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening. Aside from a half dozen regulars at the end of the bar and one table outside, we were the only ones there. We started by ordering a couple of simple drinks at the bar while we decided what to get for dinner. I went with a Bulleit Bourbon Old Fashioned, and my date ordered a Crown and Ginger Beer. With each drink order, the bartender asked if we wanted "more alcohol." Not really sure exactly what that meant, we both said, "sure, I guess...". We would later find out that we were authorizing a "5 oz long pour" instead of a standard pour which didn't taste any different, but carried a $3-$3.50 price difference. By the time our drinks were poured, we were ready to order our entrees. The pictures of the pizza online looked 5 I had to try the pepperoni. My date loves mac & cheese and could not pass up a chance to try their variation served with a couple of garlic toast points. After taking our order, the bartender handed us a number, and we chose a seat where we could watch some college football on one of the many screens. We both enjoyed the drinks and agreed that they were made near perfectly for our tastes. Our food came out about ten minutes after we sat down. Both the pizza and the mac & cheese looked amazing, just like the pictures. I am sad to report that the flavor seemed to be lost somewhere along the line. The pizza tasted like something from the freezer isle at the grocery store, but not the kind that is actually good. The mac & cheese was just slimy and flavorless. I had been thinking about ordering a "funeral potato" pizza to go just to try it, but after realizing that the food is likely just heated up instead of being prepared fresh to order, I decided to pass on the extra adventure. We finished our drinks and the food and settled up at the bar. The tab for two drinks, a pizza, and mac & cheese totaled $50.57 after tax and before tip. The place was clean enough. There seemed to be a lot of employees just standing around. The regulars were drunk and obnoxious, but that is to be expected at any good local bar. They committed a cardinal sin of changing the TV station to hockey while the Utes were playing USC at the same time. Maybe we stopped in on an off night, but the experience was not enough to earn a second visit from me.

Excellent service, really delicious food! Their salsa has a smoky, garlic heavy flavor that's amazing. Pasta salad had very fresh basil & tomato, refreshing & tasty. Pulled pork sandwich with no cheese was very flavorful with frizzled onion & jalapeños. The ciabatta roll was very fresh and looked homemade. Much better than typically find in a restaurant. Very pleased to have the time to eat here!

I love this place. It's a newer addition to the Salt Lake bar scene (2022), but it already has a fun vibe and good regulars. They frequently have fun nights like trivia, karaoke, and all kinds of special events. The food is good and the daily specials are killer. Definitely check it out for reasonably priced drinks and a nice summer/ fall patio!

The food was honestly pretty gross but the service and the atmosphere was great. They had good cheap beer and a fun paint night but I wouldn’t come here if I was also wanting good bar food. It was pretty nasty food.

I was working in the area, stopped here for lunch. The Margherita Pizza was fantastic. Cute little bar, plan on bringing my wife and adult children for a drink during the evening.

Friendly, welcoming, chill neighborhood bar with a great kitchen, big windows, a pet-friendly patio, and a (mostly) unobstructed view of downtown SLC (thanks to the massive Target parking lot). Make sure you ask about off-menu specials (Burt and Carson almost always have something delicious they're experimenting with).
