Went to eat one of my favorite tortillas for lunch today and discovered this.....
I have purchased this brand several times in the past, but not for a couple of years. I bought beans, rice, and salsa the other night and the beans were the consistency of milk. I actually only saw one bean in a 32 oz container. I guess this is their way of cutting back costs too. Unfortunately, I don't like runny bean soup so I'll have to find another brand.
Rico used to be my go-to, and I would purchase their enchiladas, salsa, guacamole, rice, beans, sweet corn tamales, or tortillas every week. Unfortunately, quality has continuously declined over the last two years. Instead of chicken breast, products were filled with cheaper cuts, and portion sizes were trimmed to the bare minimum. My final purchase was the chicken enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce. The entree did not contain any chicken and was inedible. I'm sad I can no longer support this local business.
Nice place, excellent quality product
Rico brand burritos are my typical work lunch.I love many of the flavors but, the Steak (carne asada) always has crunchy, disgusting bits of meat in it. I think they should stop selling it or up their game.
Rico is delicious all the way around, but the Chile Verde burritos and Salsa Dorada are my favorite!

The artichoke tamales had one little piece of artichoke and almost no cheese. They’ve definitely gone downhill.
They used to sell the BEST tasting flour tortillas with the most amazing texture! Although they were often difficult to peel apart when trying to get them out of the bag, I decided they were otherwise too perfect to care about that sort of detail. I've bought them for years. However, I recently picked up another bag from the grocery store and they changed them! Now, they look and feel and taste like every other store bought flour tortilla out there! All the while, they're still labeled as "home-made". I'm going back to my old ways of actually making them in my home because the one exception I made is now no longer an option. They're shameful. Not good. Not unique. Not anything worth your time.
Their tortillas used to have an irresistible seasoning on them now they’re just plain Jane, run of the mill. I used to buy them every week for two years, haven’t purchased a single package since the change. Good while it lasted
Not sure what has changed with the re-fried pinto beans but kids not enjoying them any longer. too runny.. been buying for years but now they're going to waste as no one will eat.
My favorite place!!! Such good food! ♥️♥️
