An award winning taco spot in the middle of a trendy ally, what more could you want! We had the Angry Brid and Uncle Al tacos. The street taco portions are generous and the flavors are so balanced, you can taste every ingredient. All of those items feel really rare. The corn tortillas were great, but mine did break under the load of the fillings. Be careful when handling or it can be a mess.
The restaurant itself is high energy and has a really fun decor. A great spot and it comes highly recommended.

Not a typical Mexican taco shop.
ROCTACO serves a variety of fusion food tacos with inspiration from many different cuisines.
I was apprehensive initially given the price point but it ended up being worth it.
If I wanted just a regular taco, I could grill up some steak at home or go to one of the many Mexican joints across downtown.
Instead I felt each taco was much more interesting with great flavor profiles.
I tried the K-POP bulgolgi, Holy Kalbi beef, K.C. Pig and Uncle AL pork tacos.
Favorite was probably the Kalbi followed by the K.C. pig.
If I had the KPOP again, I would probably get it with extra meat, the egg kinda masked the other flavors.
Make sure to try the house made Serrano hot sauce by the fountain machine, it's a hearty heat but not overpowering! Honestly might ask to buy some!
The internal decor was super cute too, awesome vibe.

If you love fusion tacos, run don't walk. This place is bomb. It's a little small and hard to get to , but I promise it's worth squeezing in for these awesome tacos.

I will save you some time! Jimmy Churri is a must! Frozen Horchatas are also amazing. Their Queso is also so great. Love the add-ins you can put in the Queso! This place is just over the top delicious!

This food is seriously one of a kind. I literally crave it! It's just so unique but at the same time if you want a more traditional taco they have that too. I usually stick to the tacos but had a QUESOdilla the other day and it blew my mind! It actually comes with a side of QUESO to dip the Quesadilla in! The toppings are on the top of the Quesadilla and it is so so yummy! I also can't say enough about the atmosphere. So fun, feels like you stumbled on to the coolest place in town. Just love it!

As a Mexican I can, this is authentic favor !
The first time I came I felt in love of the flavor, specially Maryla’s tortillas … a must try in Salt Lake !
Excellent!! From typical taco styles to their own creations, I have not had one I didn't love. Friendly staff, good location.
Interesting little taco shop. Super cool vibes. Honestly I like what they’re going for. It was however $11.50 for two street style tacos. Super steep. Honestly not very good value as I could’ve ate 10+ and still been hungry. The tortillas were homemade and honestly super good! The tacos themselves were sorta bland. We got the Korean one and the barbecue pork one. The Korean one was just a little bit of beef with purple cabbage, jalapeños, and siracha mayo. The pork one had a lot more toppings and was a little more flavorful but the pork didn’t have much flavor and it mostly tasted like the barbecue sauce it was covered in. Both meets had no real flavor and the tacos mostly tasted like siracha/barbeque sauce. They didn’t have a salsa bar but, they had the standard hot sauces you’d see at any other taco shop. They also had one homemade hot sauce that was good. Overall I’d say it was worth a try. They did have different flavors than most traditional taco shops.

It's about time I made the effort to review this place. My husband and I have been going 20 miles out of our way to enjoy these tacos. It's our favorite restaurant in Salt Lake. I'd rank it with the Michelin Star restaurants across the world we have visited. The flavors are complex and well balanced. Every taco a delicious flavor story, and a fine one. A couple of my favorites are the Rude Bull and the Bahn Mijo, but I honestly enjoy them all. I'll be shocked if Roctaco doesn't become a national chain in the near future. Trust me. Go there and enjoy this unique culinary experience.

This place used to be so good - good food, good service and a good environment. Did this place change ownership / management? We visited on a Saturday night. The restaurant was nearly empty, the menu was different than what’s on their website (they don’t have my favorite taco anymore, but it’s still on the site), the food was mediocre and best of all, the girl taking orders upfront was on her phone and seemed annoyed to have to take our order. Bummer.
