Walked all the way over from main terminal and got there at 9:15. They said they were closed. Google says 10pm so maybe change the closing time here??

Flying out of SLC & needed lunch before boarding. I had time so I strolled all the way to the end of concourse B & found Smashburger. I had stopped to read all the other menus only to see that they all had a burger, just the burger, starting at $17! But Smashburger had realistic pricing with a burger under $10! I got the 5 piece chicken strips & medium fries & couldn't finish it. I do hate the fact that tips are asked for at checkout. That & a bottle of water is just shy of $5 is my only complaint. But I did pay $1 tip simply because they were reasonably priced on the food.

We’ve eaten here a couple times waiting for flights and the prices are pretty good and the food is also very decent. The smash fries which are rosemary oil fries are to die for. The shakes and burgers are very good too. The only thing I would say is not very great is the speed of service, it looks like they only have one person in the kitchen and one person out front most of the time.

My husband and I love getting the rosemary fries before catching a flight! Service can be a bit slow due to how many people they have working, but the food makes up for it.

So good that I missed my flight. No joke. No lie. At least American Airlines booked me for the next one. I'm going again now that I have to wait, this time for chicken 🐔

The thought of buying my food as separate items was always a no-go for me. I decided to try this place but ordered the crispy chicken sandwich 🥪 and it was nothing short of delicious. I was pleased with the taste of the sandwich and the smash tots which have olive oil, rosemary, and garlic powder. I highly recommend you stop into a smash burger and try their menu.

So I came in early wen they just open to get a oreo milk shake the best thing they have and there was these to lady’s that they were most likely talking the entire time just distracted and judging me in Spanish for getting a milk shake really early I just hope next time they could think that there is other people that even if they look like they do not talk Spanish, that they do know and understand Spanish and feel uncomfortable of people judging just because of it like what do they care if I am having one

Food came out relatively fast, and tasted good. Worker pronunced 70 like 20 so there was some confusion but all was good.

Buch of workers unable to do a basic job. Took 45 minutes. A couple people had to leave without their food. Pretty unacceptable for an airport

We would have lived to try it hut you atop surving breakfast at 10. It was 10:07 Store is dead and you’re at the end of the airport. It doesn’t feed off of the new drop off. Reevaluate service and common sense. I worked at the airport for six years and my store closed at 10. I kept it open till as late as 1 AM if there were a lot of guests on the airport so if you don’t think I understand Airport business, Sorry I didnt realize the airport mandates the time you serve.

I don't know why this place is only getting a 3.5/5 avg rating, but I really enjoyed their burger. The best part is the price: ~$10. As someone who travels to different US cities throughout the year and has grabbed a lot of quick bites at airports, it's hard to find a decent sized (double!) burger for anything less than $15 at any airport. So even purely from a value point of view, I don't think this can be beat. And you can see that the burger is well put together and tasted quite good.

Smashburger is my go-to spot whenever I'm at the airport. Not only is the food incredible, I experienced some of the best customer service there yesterday. I wish I got their names, but I want to give a massive shoutout to the two employees who were on shift at 10 PM on Nov 12. My flight landed at 9:50pm, and I sprinted over to grab a burger and fries before they closed at 10pm. They were closing up but still took the time to make my order and did it with such kindness and patience.

Honestly, they could’ve turned me away, but they genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had a good hot meal, even though it was the end of a long day for them. Their kindness turned a hectic night into something unexpectedly uplifting. I tipped them all the cash I had (wish it could’ve been more!) because they really deserved it. Smashburger, I hope you recognize what gems you have in these two—they truly went above and beyond.

SLC SMASH Burger Concourse B A Masterclass in How Not to Serve Customers.

Visited today at Salt Lake City Airport and ordered a simple meal: a classic Smash Burger with no ketchup, no tomato, no onion, and one regular fountain drink. Should be straightforward, right?

Now, let me paint the scene. It’s 1 PM MST, not exactly the busiest time. Two people visible in the kitchen, two front of house, one manager. Only two orders ahead of mine.

The food runner (not even the cashier, mind you) tosses my food bag at me. Yes, tosse, like I’m in a fast-food dodgeball match.

And guess what? No drink.

So, I ask, politely enough, for my drink. Her response? The biggest attitude you could imagine: "What size?"

And this is where things took a dramatic turn down hill.

First of all, I’m the paying customer. It’s not asking for the moon to expect a simple burger with three items removed and a drink cup.

I mean, we’re talking the bare basics here.

But the real issue was the attitude. Her tone had me wondering if I had wronged her in some past life. And then the manager, who I hoped would bring some level-headed professionalism to the situation, loudly chimes in, “Well, there’s two cup sizes.

“Yes, thank you, Captain Obvious. But here’s the thing: it’s your job to hand me the correct one. I shouldn’t have to spell it out for you.

This isn’t just about my visit. As a frequent flier who passes through this airport multiple times a month, I’ve had my share of fast airport meals. But this? This was something else. The unnecessary attitude turned what should have been a 5-minute exchange into a mini drama, complete with side-eye and a lack of basic courtesy.

As a paying customer and as someone who values professionalism, I’d expect your team to slow down, read the order screen, and, dare I say, get it right.

If I were a franchise owner, I’d hope my employees would treat customers with at least basic respect, if not for the sake of the business, then just for the sake of being decent human beings.

Customer service is clearly not alive and well at this location. And after today’s experience, I can confidently say that I will never spend another dollar here. I’ll also make sure to tell all my friends and family about this “amazing” experience.

In conclusion: If you're flying through Salt Lake City Airport, do yourself a favor—walk right past Smash Burger Concourse B. Trust me, you'll save yourself a world of frustration.

Amazing airport fast food for a very reasonable price. They take you seriously if you ask for extra pickles and onions. The Smashfries with rosemary are delicious, and so is the smashburger

Parking: Plenty of chairs at the surrounding gates where you can park yourself.
